Clothing Optional

If your community suddenly decided to give residents the option of wearing or not wearing clothing in public, what would you do, continue to wear clothes or hang loose?

I would avoid wearing clothes or minimal clothing, except in the winter!
Then again, if everyone else wore clothes, then I would too. Few women will bare all.

A good question for a nudist naturist forum.

I was just reading about natural travel destinations in fact. In theory I'm sure some people could really relax in the lifestyle. But me personally? Nah, I'm good...first off there are waaaaay too many people you don't want to imagine in their birthday suits. Hairy backs, bare bottoms, flabby this and that, I mean ewwww a dining area where everyone is free...just no.

Plus it's just what you're comfortable with. Unless I'm in the tub or shower always at least a bra and panties. I've had kids in the house forever.

I'd continue to wear clothes, even when I was younger the least I've worn is a bikini at the beach (not thong), or a halter or tank top with shorts in public. Never had any desire to go to a nude beach or nudist colony.

Unfortunately, there's altogether too much "hanging loose" on me for me to go nude in public.

I was a nudist in my (somewhat) prime, though. Not a "social" nudist, but I just liked to go to the nude beach, tan in the buff and come out of the water without the dreaded sand in the suit. I did run into one of my customers once, though, and it made it awkward to have to have a business meeting with him. They always say if you have stage fright, just picture everyone in the audience sitting out there nude.....it doesn't work in real life when you have seen them nude.

We have a nude beach in my city and in other cities I have lived in. I'd been to a few when I was a young free spirit, but not interested at all now. I think we wear clothes for a good reason, one of which is to protect us from the elements, i.e. ultraviolet rays and cold weather and also for modesty and not to mention the the joy of beautiful fashions.

I'm a bit modest and won't even wear anything too low cut. Don't think I would be comfortable around those chosing to leave it all hang out either. That's just me, I'm subconscious in a bathing suit and look for ones offering some coverage. Guess I've always dressed conservatively.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like low cut. I've always been uncomfortably big on top. The last thing I ever wanted to do was draw more attention to them. They fulfilled their biological function in easily nursing a bunch of babies. Now it's about keeping them contained.

I've always been proud of my legs. I'll still do mini skirts from time to time. But the rest of me is a bit more private.

Getting more difficult to find something hat isn't plunge or scoop neckline these days.

I don't mind seeing others dress however the feel comfortable, I'm only referring to myself. Yes it is hard finding clothing that isn't cut low--I just don't find it flattering on me--now I am not referring to regular scoop neck, I mean the type that shows a whole lot of cleavage. I did wear short skirts when I was younger, but nowadays I pretty much live in jeans...and turtlenecks, hahaha.

I live in a 55+ community of 9,000 residents. That could be scary.

It would be worse where I lived in AZ, that was a 55+ community of 30,000.

It's funny, that's something else my Mom was right about. I was a teen and she was in her fifties. I wore the highest heels and the tightest jeans. She would say if your feet or belly are uncomfortable you will be miserable. I understand now...short comfortable skirts or long and flowing but always ballerina flats. Meaning I stand around most of my families belly buttons...I'm exaggerating...I'm almost 5'4:p

I'd probably pass........but if I did prior to stepping out the door I bet ironing out all the wrinkles in my birthday suit would probably hurt like the dickens.

Not to mention ants. Bad enough when they crawl up the leg of your pants but much worse when you have on no pants at all.

At my age, I'd continue to wear clothes. Women over a certain age who show too much flesh look pathetic. They're just showing off what no one wants to see anymore.
