US/Administration Closes 2 Russian Compounds & Expels 35 Officials

Why will the Moscow airport have to add more flights to the US?

Expect at least 35 US citizens/officials to be given the same eviction notice. This is how these things tend to play out. Both countries tend to know which facilities and personal are there for diplomacy or spying. Some officials will simply be a target for posturing reasons.

It would appear that the Russian leader has just been shown a red card.

The response seems a little late to me but perhaps it has been necessary to collect all the evidence and prepare a detailed report for Congress. There does seem to be some bipartisan support from senior members of Congress.

Are Russian planes really small? 35 people doesn't seem like enough to justify more Russian flights to Moscow.

It was a satirical comment or metaphor for things to come. But there will be many US citizen or employee departures over the next week.

This is unquestionably pique because the US has been deliberately excluded from the talks taking place in order to get the terrorists out of Syria. There is just too much physical evidence that US munitions have been given to the terrorists attempting regime change by force in Syria. The US simply can not be trusted while Obama foreign policy is in place.

Good... Ya think they will send back Snowden so he can face what's coming to him?

[h=1]President Obama drops the boom on pro Trump Russian hackers[/h]President Barack Obama took unprecedented steps Thursday retaliating against what the administration described as "Significant Malicious Cyber-Enabled Activities," including sanctioning six Russian individuals and five Russian entities as well as ordering Russian diplomats to leave the country.

This is the first time the names of Russian officials involved in the hacking have become public on the sanctions list.
Obama also said in a separate statement that 35 Russian diplomats have been ordered to leave the country, and two Russian compounds are being closed under Thursday's actions.

A White House statement described the consensus from the Intelligence Community that Russia's meddling in US elections via cyberhacking as "unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
"Russia's cyberactivities were intended to influence the election, erode faith in US democratic institutions, sow doubt about the integrity of our electoral process, and undermine confidence in the institutions of the US government," the statement said. "These actions are unacceptable and will not be tolerated."

Amazing. There is absolutely no evidence of ANY Russian interference in the rejection of Hillary and a deal of information as to who made known her misdeeds.

As for Snowden, he really should be awarded the Nobel peace prize and the award withdrawn from Obama.

[h=1]FBI, DHS release report on Russia hacking[/h]Source: The Hill

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Thursday released a joint report detailing how investigators linked the Russian government to hacks on various Democratic political organizations.

The document makes clear reference to the hacks of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, although it does not mention either by name.

The 13-page report provides technical details regarding tools and infrastructure used by Russian civilian and military intelligence services to “compromise and exploit networks and endpoints associated with the U.S. election, as well as a range of U.S. Government, political, and private sector entities.” (See the entire report below.)

It comes as part of a slate of retaliatory measures against Russia issued Thursday by the Obama administration in response to the hacks.

Correct. No evidence of any hacking that interfered in the election machinery in any way.

What does strike me is that the action being taken by Obama in connection with the Russian Diplomatic compounds breaches the Vienna convention regarding international diplomacy and independent rights.

But then Obama has behaved abysmally on the worlds diplomatic stage from day one.

I agree and it has been established that there was no successful tampering with voting machines.

However, there was definitely hacking taking place and it has been traced to a foreign power, not a 400lb man in his mother's basement. The trip feed of selective information close to voting day is a strong indication of intent and purpose.
I don't need detailed DNA analysis to decide whether or not the bird quacking in the reeds is a duck.

Can there be any question but that this was just more feet-stamping by the petulant child on the way out of the White House?

Hacking has been going on throughout the Obama Administration in various ways and various places. And yet, nothing was done. But, Wikileaks shows the world the despicable actions of the DNC and all of a sudden diplomats are expelled - gimme a break. The boy-child in the White House seems to have forgotten that he was the President of the United States of America for eight years - not the President of the DNC in his last three weeks.

At least Bill Clinton had the decency to use his last few weeks to pardon his half brother, a crook (Marc Rich), terrorists (FALN), Weather Underground, etc. Obama is playing partisan political games with his Office.

Its more than the usual reporting but only 5, not 13 pages are devoted to 'the hack'. Half the report is preventive or counter measure strategies. Even the first portion of the report seems to give known general information or intelligence about the Russian cyber intelligence program/division.

Putin is associated with the 'hack' because 'the hack' was most likely carried out by ATP29 which works for the FSB or 'new' KGB once headed by Putin. Also keep in mind the report notes a phishing campaign or method. It's already been disclosed Podesta was phished, not hacked. Phishing attacks are common and could've been carried out by anyone phisher with information sold, distributed and/or used.

The only detailed information given seems to be in Yara Signiture but it that a common tool for hackers in general, a tool 'preferred' by the Russians and/or is it propietary to or exclusively used by them.

There has been no hack. All that has happened is that Hillary has been shown up as the dishonest individual that she is and rather than accept it attempts are being made to divert attention from just how awful a person she is and that a great many people were taken in by her.

Or as in this case someone using a duck call.

It absolutely amazing how deep the partisanship and hatred for fellow Americans is in this country.. If the situation were reversed.. and Russia hacked the RNC to help Clinton.. can you imagine the reversal of opinions? I certainly can. Russia is not a friend people.. but because they hurt Clinton.. now you think they are? You defend Russia and bash our President and our CIA? You should be deeply ashamed... hang your heads.. You are not Americans... You are...well.. I'm not going to say.
