O.K. let's consider the reverse. Let's say Wikileaks revealed that the RNC was stacked against one of it's candidates and that the RNC had gotten advanced notice of the questions for a "Town Hall" and passed them on to Trump. What do you think the Dems concern would be - the information or it's source?
"Partisanship and hatred"? You betcha!! When was the last time you heard of a President-elect of our Nation labeled "Nazi" and "Fascist" by the opposition.
Should the hacks be investigated and action taken? Sure. But, the hacking has been going on for years and not just Russia. Private info, commercial info, military info, and so on - and no action. The topic and timing of this does seem like the actions of a petulant child, not a mature adult.
As an outsider what I am seeing is the Obama Administration creating an enemy where non existed. Russia is NOT the USSR and in any case the amount of provocation that took place during the latter years of the USSR by the US putting weapons within 5 km of the USSR borders yet bellyaching big time when the USSR had the temerity to even start to level the playing field by just starting to "quid pro quo" in Cuba and had it not been for the wisdom of Khrushchev Kennedy would certainly have pushed the button.
So let's not try to make out that the US is squeaky clean in all things.
Russia has NOT hacked anything where the presidential election is concerned. There is neither evidence that Russia was involved, there is a great deal of evidence that US whistleblower(s) were but in any case all that took place was introduction into the public domain copies of emailks that resulted in Hillary being exposed as a serial liar.
They did the world a great service.

What would you have said if President Obama did this BEFORE the election? You would be screaming bloody murder that he was trying to influence it against TRUMP.... When would the proper timing have been? Don't try to BS me... ALL you are concerned about is the same thing Trump is... and that is his presidency being tainted by the hint of Russian influence. Do you really give a rat's ass about our election process..? Or only that "Your candidate WON? DO you think Trump would have taken action against the Russians?

Also very interesting that Putin has not descended to the same level by throwing out American diplomats. And I've been listening to CNN this morning just for the sake of seeing how the Russia haters are going to spin every action, every word and it's truly mind blowing. I even heard one say 'that he'd invited all the children of the American diplomats to come to the Kremlin SO THAT HE COULD THANK THEM FOR THE SANCTIONS'! How utterly ridiculous and how long before every other 'talking head' is reiterating that same thought over and over and over again?
What he did say:
'We will not create problems for American diplomats, we will not expel anyone', adding that Russia reserves the right to retaliate. He then extended an invite to the American diplomats and families to the tradition New Years/Christmas party at the Kremlin. He went on to say, "It is a pity that President Barack Obama's administration ends its work in this way but nevertheless, I wish him and his family a Happy New Year" and ended with congrats to Trump for his election win and a wish for the welfare and prosperity of the American people.
And CNN says the above and every talking head in that segment went along with the BS. Oh my gosh, mainstream media is morally bankrupt and ethically challenged and not one of them knows how to do anything except read the Reuters news feed and copy what every other news writer fabricates.
The tone of Putin's above comments are the same in his speeches, the bio's that have been written about him, the interviews, all with the same tone for the past three years. And the West refuses to listen because an 'enemy is needed'. And that is the way many are seeing this whole situation. You need an enemy. And not for the sake of the people because both Germany and Japan have proven that when a country gives up war mongering, they prosper. But as the worlds biggest arms exporter and being a country for the corporations, there is huuuuge money to be made in the export of weapons of death all over the world which of course makes both the bankers and the arms manufacturers very happy. Remember 27,000% profits in arms since the 2nd WW (compared to 6700% profit in the same time in the combination of all the other American industries).

The intentional idiocy and trumped up,(see what I did there) righteous indignation coming from the right wing posters is getting a bit old. Why the word "hacking is being used, I don't know. Sure 'hacking' occurred because systems were accessed by other than the owner.
What actually happened was a wildly successful good old fashioned misinformation propaganda campaign orchestrated by Russia,(or their agents).
For any American of either wing to pooh pooh or otherwise diminish the gravity of this campaign is at best ignorant and at most treason.
Every effort must be made to ascertain the players,whether any were American and what crimes if any were committed.

What are your thoughts Robusta, on Julian Assange saying that Russia didn't give him the emails? Also a UK past ambassador, Craig Murray also supports him as he apparently was present when those documents were handed over to Wikileaks?

I heard on a radio report this morning Putin/Russia reserves the right to retaliate. I'm also hearing some conflicting reports as to the facilities the US want's closed as to wether they were a spy compound. And if the US knew this why did they wait until now other than a last blast for Obama. Best case scenario has the Russians giving routine intelligence gathering efforts to wiki-leaks. Was the information gathered in 2015, 2016 obtained by who ever just for release during the election? Wonder why a lot of it wasn't used during the primaries where a quasi socialist/communist was Hillary's opponent. That contrast would've raised havoc in the US.
I would have been delighted if he took hacking seriously in all the areas it was was occurring over the years. But you are right, if he continued to ignore all the important hacking and had a hissy-fit over the truth about the actions of the DNC being revealed I probably would have made negative comments.
As to the "rat's ass" - the question arises (again) which is more important, the perversion of the electoral process by the DNC and the Clinton campaign, or how we found out??
As to "Trump taking action" - I certainly hope so. Our citizens private info is being hacked, our corporations are having intellectual property stolen, and other such hacking. I'd have liked to have seen Obama take action - but he didn't. Hopefully Trump will.
As to "oozing/hating" - adults are capable of political and ideological differences without "oozing".

So now, Russia is giving away ownership of the White House to their friends. According to today's Washington Post, a Russian political operative, Leonid Slutsky, who is already being sanctioned by multiple countries including the U.S. and the U.K., has declared, "None of this will change the results of the election of the American president, and in January, the rightful owner of the White House will be Donald Trump."

I think it is well played Vladimir Putin. Putin is making Obama look a little childish and has left the door open for he and Trump to figure this out after the inauguration. Right or wrong it looks like a slick move to me.

1.) A poster who doesn't even live in the U.S. knows more than our CIA and other intelligence organizations. He/she "knows" Russia did not influence our election by cyber-hacking. It's great to know we are in the presence of such greatness. The CIA may well be asking him/her to assist in their intelligence gathering.
2.) A poster is upset because the President-elect has been called a facist and Nazi. Says such denigrating of a President is unprecedented. Short memories evidently don't recall the current President being called a Muslim, not a natural born citizen, his wife and children referred to in numerous unkindly terms.
3.) They have told us over and over how this President is weak and won't stand up to other world leaders. When he does stand up and impose sanctions against Russia, they suggest he should not have stood up to such an innocent and upstanding ally as Russia is. Sure....

A President-elect publicly states his good friend, Putin, is to be applauded for not retaliating against the sanctions and that he and Putin will "work things out" after he is inaugurated. Sadly, like many Americans, I no longer have any confidence in anything that the CIA or FBI or NSA say. This distrust, for me, started with the WMD/GWB debacle. Today, they have all become so politicized as to be totally untrustworthy. I believe that if Obama told them to "find evidence" that the Martians hacked into the DNC emails, it would have been forthcoming.
