Belts! Where are You?

Location
CT
Inspired by this thread I googled "belts". I was very surprised to learn from WIKIPEDIA the US has many "belts". My home state, CT, is in the Frost Belt and Salt Belt.

My mind always goes to the silly so I image a travel agency devoted to booking "belt" tours. :)

So come on in and post your "belts."

It reminds me of learning about sets in math class many years ago.

Yes, salty frost!

Re: Jell-O Belt,

Mormons do love Jell-O, but that isn't the only interesting Mormon menu item. Visitors to Utah's Wasatch Front quickly learn that they are in the scone center of the world. There's even a fast-food scone chain, Scone Cutter. The first time that I was in one I had French Fries. I was offered (and chose) fry sauce to accompany it. That's a combination of mayonnaise, catsup, and other things. Everyone has a favorite recipe although a bottled product is available at stores.

Funeral potatoes are big when someone dies. Again, there's a myriad of recipes. Roast Turkey is the dish for Easter as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Those who fancy Christmas decorations will love the area. It'd like the fifties elsewhere. Halloween decorations are common and elaborate as well. Some people set up make-believe graveyards on their lawns. That's really not surprising since Mormons pray to their ancestors as Catholics do to saints.

The aforesaid notwithstanding, I have never heard of the Jell-o Belt.
