If it was Free , What personal Servant would you choose

.

Handyman who can do repairs jobs around the house.

If I call "professionals"... even for minor jobs, they would charge hundreds of dollars.

I would like somebody to do daily housecleaning and yard work/grounds maintenance year round, that would include snow shoveling. :playful: If it had to be really a personal servant, than I'd want a full body massage several times a week.

Yes grass cutting.....(even though I don't do it) It might free the man up for body massage...LOL

Vacuum and mop the floors once a week, including under and behind the furniture. I can handle the rest.

That's interesting.

Is your income under the tax threshold so you don't have to pay taxes ??

All our taxes are taken at source from our earnings, we don't have to file taxes separately..unless we're self employed . I know Americans have to file taxes I've read you all saying it for years but I've never actually asked what taxes you're filing?...can someone explain?

Don't you iron pillowcases, and duvet covers? I can't have wrinkled bedding..I hate ironing but I hate having things looking wrinkled ..I'm my own worst enemy lol

Everything I wash comes out of the dryer wrinkle free.

I bought an iron when I bought this house 17 years ago... and have never used it.

Everyone who has an income above the tax threshold is required to file an income tax return.
While taxes are taken out of wages during the year, most people will get a refund while others
might break even or pay more. Because I am retired debt-free, I intentionally keep my income
under the tax threshold, so I don't have to pay any taxes or file a tax return.

As long as I'm dreaming, I'll imagine I'm on a mediterranean beachfront property with a personal Cabana Boy serving me Sea Salt Chocolates, fresh produce from their open market, local seafood, and a glass of chilled Sauvignon Blanc. Suntan lotion? Yes, please. Right there? No over a little. Could you hand me my sunglasses? And refill Bella's bowl with Perrier please. Pedicure? Yes please. Brie & Fresh Figs? Yes please :love_heart::rolleyes:
I like your dream..can I come along?
Yes! Join me Seeker! Two Cabana Boys will double the pleasure!
One can fan us with a palm branch while the other plays his guitar of Mediterranean music like this...

Yes you were and thanks for your service 911.... but now if you could have a personal servant for yourself what would you want them to do for you?

Someone to rake my leaves in the fall. The last guy charged me $200.00 for three hours work.

I remember the avocado green, the harvest gold and the coppertone, which was just brown.

Then they got lighter again with vanilla before the stainless steel took over the world!

I think I'd hire a servant to follow me around, lavishing me with praise. When I'd look in the mirror, he'd describe my handsome features with real enthusiasm. When I did the dishes, he'd stand nearby, applauding my cleanliness and skill in handling glassware. When I went to bed, he'd sit across the room in a rocking chair, singing lullabyes concerning my valour.

Wow, a therapeutic bard! I could do that, what are the wages/perks?

Yes we get tax refunds also if the tax office have taken too much but we don't have to file it for ourselves... ( again unless self employed) the Tax office just does it and sends the cheque in the post as a nice surprise.. :D

Yes we have people here who will come and clean the cooker for you..it costs about £40... I've never done it because I always clean my cooker well, but my friend who also keep her cooker clean had them come in and do hers, and it was like a brand new stove by the time they were finished..amazing!!..I might be tempted one day...

I could have used the oven cleaner when I set my stove on fire. I had an item that ran over in the oven and made a terrible mess. Later that night, I put the oven on automatic clean and when the temperature got high enough, it set the stuff still on the oven floor on fire. Smoke was pouring out of the stove and I couldn't get the oven door open because it was automatically locked until the temperature got below a certain temperature. Fire alarm was blaring, I was running around opening doors and windows. Finally, I shimmied up onto the counter and reached behind the stove and unplugged it. That allowed me to open the door and throw baking soda on the fire. Learned my lesson good about automatic cleaning, for sure!

As for the servant I'd pick, it would be someone to come in seven days a week and give me a massage. Preferably, he'd look like Javier Bardem or Antonio Banderas in his youthful days, but I'd settle for Matthew McConaughey as long as he gave good massages. If he wanted to scrub the toilets while he was here, I'd give him a bigger tip.

I do not mind all the other household chores but I would love to have a someone who would drive me where ever I wanted to go when ever I wanted. I would take a lot more trips to see my daughter, son-in-law and my cute little grandbaby. I am not a comfortable driver even though I have been driving for 40 years with no accidents.I am so glad my late husband talked me into it. It took him four years to get me to do it.
