what annoys you

People who claim that they have failed in life because of other people. "Oh, poor, poor me. I'd be a C.E.O. by now if wasn't for all those... "

4.try opening the cap on a pain reliever bottle. Its difficult for me since one of my hands has arthritis
locate the little nodule that makes the cap child proof, and cut it off

now you only have four

people that have all the answers annoy me

Relentless telemarketers who call day after day from 9am to 9pm trying to sell you something like Medicare Advantage Insurance Plans, etc. Especially the ones who, when you do pick up the phone, make like they're responding to a request you made, those calls end very abruptly on my end. Or...the ones who when you do pick up, either hesitate or go silent altogether. Same for phone pollsters or door to door salesmen.

People who are texting on their phones in front of you at a red light, and wait so long before they wake up and move, that they make the light and you're left sitting there for another round. A lot of the same ones already mentioned on this thread. :)

Lately...everything and everyone! Just joking but really I can't stand the telemarketers that call and I tell them I am on the "Do not call list" every time they call. I told one today and she said "you have to call the Hanes agency to have your name removed" I couldn't believe that and told her "no, I am telling you not to ever call me!"

Also neighbors that are annoyed with every little thing you do, nosey people who want to know all your business, rude people on the internet or off, how they constantly now show the sports or weather at the beginning of the news, how everything on the news is "Breaking News!" Ahhhhh! Makes me want to scream sometimes!:aargh:

One other thing that really annoys me,during winter businesses and residents don't shovel their sidewalks. They hire people to plow the driveways, why can't they do sidewalks at same time. I certainly get more exercise than I had anticipated when this happens. Sue

Ruthanne, you didn't ask for suggestions, but here's one anyway: From what I hear about the annoying telemarketing calls, it is better not to pick up the phone at all if it isn't from someone
you recognize. (I assume you have Caller ID, most phones comes with it now.) They don't care how many times you say you are not interested, and I've also found that being on the Do Not Call list doesn't help a lot either.

I'm on that list, and just this morning got an annoying call from some carpet cleaning company. I didn't pick up, so they left a long sales message on my answering machine, which kept beeping at me until I pushed the button to play the message. Then I was able to delete it. But these nuisance companies seem to find more and more "creative" ways to keep annoying people!

The reason they say not to pick up is that you are sort of encouraging them by doing so. They know there is someone home at that number, and will keep trying. I guess if you never answer their call, maybe they really do take you off their list.

That has become a big topic of discussion in my area. It is frustrating when the city does not plow/shovel the sidewalks along publicly owned properties and then when you add in the number of absentee landlords that don't plow/shovel it becomes a dangerous problem for the kids walking to school in the street.

Thanks. I have told some I'm on the do not call list and they have said they'd never call again and did not. I just got my latest phone number last week and haven't had many calls so far but sometimes they are for the last person who had the number, too, and I tell them that I just got this number and they never call again. So far the do not call list seems to be working this time for me. I have far less calls than I did with the last number where I had about 10 or more calls a day. I did ignore those ones because there were so many until I could not stand it anymore and changed the number. With this new number I have only had 3 calls so far from unrecognizable places.

HI ,I forgot to mention in my previous post, there is a city law that the sidewalks need to be shoveled or the businesses, homes will be fined.Unfortuantly, its never really been enforced As the 4th poorest city in the nation,we could use the extra money. Sue

What really annoys me is the scammers that call us with a friend's "spoofed phone number" so we can't block it. Apparently, they're so dumb they don't realize that as soon as we know they're not our friend they're just using their number, we're going to hang up.

Ruthanne, that reminds me when years ago when I moved into a new apartment and my phone was hooked up. It was late at night when the phone rang and those days we could answer the phone even with no Caller ID and not expect to get some telemarketer or worse, so no problem answering but wondering who could be calling so late.

So, this male answered and was apparently angry and said he was about to come over. He must have thought I was his ex-girlfriend (either that or he dialed the wrong number). It took me a while to realize that there's no way that this new phone number was in anyway connected to where that girlfriend might have lived. But it took me a while to get calmed down.

When you try to keep your yard clean and groomed and a big wind comes along and blows the neighbors garbage (that they leave laying around) in your yard. I mean come on if you open a bag why would you throw it on the ground? Pick it up .put it in the trash. Why are you paying for trash pick up if your not going to use it...SMH. I'm gettin' too old to pick up after every body else.

The government offers a Do Not Call List with one catch, it does not work!!! Your taxes at work.
What annoys me is politicians serve a two year term and get out of politics and get a pension for life.
What annoys me is how politicians are trained and schooled on how to not answer a question. I love press conference to watch how press secretaries dance around the questions. Why even have them?
