People who claim that they have failed in life because of other people. "Oh, poor, poor me. I'd be a C.E.O. by now if wasn't for all those... "
locate the little nodule that makes the cap child proof, and cut it off4.try opening the cap on a pain reliever bottle. Its difficult for me since one of my hands has arthritis
One other thing that really annoys me,during winter businesses and residents don't shovel their sidewalks. They hire people to plow the driveways, why can't they do sidewalks at same time. I certainly get more exercise than I had anticipated when this happens. Sue
When people tell me I'm lucky to have a good retirement pension.
It's not lick, I didn't win it, I worked long and hard for it.
Thanks. I have told some I'm on the do not call list and they have said they'd never call again and did not. I just got my latest phone number last week and haven't had many calls so far but sometimes they are for the last person who had the number, too, and I tell them that I just got this number and they never call again. So far the do not call list seems to be working this time for me. I have far less calls than I did with the last number where I had about 10 or more calls a day. I did ignore those ones because there were so many until I could not stand it anymore and changed the number. With this new number I have only had 3 calls so far from unrecognizable places.Ruthanne, you didn't ask for suggestions, but here's one anyway: From what I hear about the annoying telemarketing calls, it is better not to pick up the phone at all if it isn't from someone
you recognize. (I assume you have Caller ID, most phones comes with it now.) They don't care how many times you say you are not interested, and I've also found that being on the Do Not Call list doesn't help a lot either.
I'm on that list, and just this morning got an annoying call from some carpet cleaning company. I didn't pick up, so they left a long sales message on my answering machine, which kept beeping at me until I pushed the button to play the message. Then I was able to delete it. But these nuisance companies seem to find more and more "creative" ways to keep annoying people!
The reason they say not to pick up is that you are sort of encouraging them by doing so. They know there is someone home at that number, and will keep trying. I guess if you never answer their call, maybe they really do take you off their list.
That has become a big topic of discussion in my area. It is frustrating when the city does not plow/shovel the sidewalks along publicly owned properties and then when you add in the number of absentee landlords that don't plow/shovel it becomes a dangerous problem for the kids walking to school in the street.
When you try to keep your yard clean and groomed and a big wind comes along and blows the neighbors garbage (that they leave laying around) in your yard. I mean come on if you open a bag why would you throw it on the ground? Pick it up .put it in the trash. Why are you paying for trash pick up if your not going to use it...SMH. I'm gettin' too old to pick up after every body else.:stop1:
