What's The Deal With Crop Circles?

In 1991, two hoaxers, Bower and Chorley, took credit for having created many circles throughout England after one of their circles was described by a circle investigator as impossible to be made by human hand. (wiki)


What do you think of crop circles?
 

They are reckoned to be messages from elsewhere
I have read, many years ago.

There is one example that used to come up many
times, that was decoded to have something to do
with "Pi", for calculating circles sizes etc.

If I find it I will put a copy here.

I found a copy of it with an explanation, you start
in the center and count the different coloured
segments all the way out and it is PI, image below.

Personally I don't think those two guys had anything to do with any, other than the one they were caught doing....[poorly as I recall]

That said, I have no idea who IS doing them ? But some of them are down right beautiful .

Hard to imagine how [who ever it is] can get a scale and a perception on progress...from the ground. And not sure how it is that many of them seem to show up over night? When they look too me like they would take some time to create?
 
I'm fascinated by them, especially the huge "Julia Set" formed in Wiltshire UK in 2001. I once spent hours trying to graph the "Flower of Life" so I could needlepoint it but could never get it right even though I was using graphing software.

To map it out Radish Rose, first you will need a picture taken from above, then you
would need to find the exact center of the circle and start drawing radii or spoke
lines, from the center through the side of the first indent, then to the outside where
it also touches the last indent before the outer circles. Keep drawing lines every time
you another indent, when you finish, you will have 8 lines from the center and 2 wide
spaces, half each space and draw in 2 more lines, your image is complete with 10 lines
exactly the same distance apart.

Now go back to the center and count the segments of each colour using the lines you
drew to be the sections/segments remember the decimal point, so it starts 3.1415etc.

Now you try it, by using the coloured example that I put there.

Haha Pretty funny. All of that so called alien stuff is a hoax done by man, for a variety of bizarre reasons. :bigwink:

Extraordinary claims, require extraordinary proof.

Seriously, I don't know enough about them to say yea or nay. My natural pessimism tends to require proof.

It was filmed long ago being done by two guys with a rope and marker poles. Example: One guy stood in place and the second guy walked in a perfect circle around him holding the rope. From there they mad several lines and half-circles, etc., marking everything as they went. Last following their lines used a lawn mower to create the work of killer aliens coming to eat us!! If a vehicle comes from a place light years way why send living organisms when drone and AI can do everything without risk of death or disease?

I kind of remember that. They dragged planks to smash down the plants. But to me, it would seem to take forever! Not overnight.

Reminds me of those Nasca lines in Peru of which they recently discovered new ones!
I'm thinking same principle of creating them.

There are no lawn mowers involved as far as I know.

Every stalk that is lying on the ground has a small
hole through it, this weakens the plant and it falls
over, this was reported several years ago to explain
how the plants lay down as they do.

OK you are trying to believe space invaders are here. There was also a wide field tool we used as kids and it consisted of a 20 gallon barrel or cylinder filled with water we pushed by hand like you would with a lawn mower to lay down all vegetation. Isn't it odd that IF creatures have the ability to design pictures on the ground that they don't do the same with bodies of water or the skies or on top of great mountain sculptures? "Don't believe what you are told, believe what you know".

I don't believe anything that I can't see, I am only
telling what was reported, which could be total
rubbish, but was popular and widely reported years
ago in the press and TV Newscasts.
