Accch Lon, c'mon..you're made of tougher stuff than to allow a forum to beat you...

One forum is not going to meet all the needs of one person necessarily, by all means find yourself somewhere else on the internet that interests you, but there's no need for you to leave here altogether....but of course it's your decision..
 
I agree with Lon that this forum and several others I am on seem to have become very blah. But then someone will post something that will get everyone riled up, and away we go!
 
Lon, you seemed to not be that interested in "listening" to others, in here, only posting your question lists, and such. Hope you find what you're looking for.

A little unfair I feel... Lon is in his 80's, many of us have known him here for several years. if he were to suddenly disappear there would be a lot of concern for him by many people here , so IMO I'd rather know he's thinking of leaving the forum, than presume the worst ..

Sigh, we have to remove your political threads again and again and again, politics has been banned here a long time ago, you know that but, you just didn't care. If you were not a long time member, you would have been banned many times. Wait, you did get one-week bans two times at least.

It's best this way, you are tired of having your threads removed; we are tired of babysitting members who never care about forum rules and post any way they want.

Remember, this is a free forum, we are volunteer mods, no one owes you anything. Be happy when SF is still here, and you have one more choice.
 
I actually liked your posts and read all of them, even though I didn't respond to all of them.

Your information of hearing aids was highly informing and especially about the implants, and I didn't know that was covered by Medicar.

So, you see, even though you were unaware, you were doing a lot of good things, and we should thank you for your knowledge.

I hope you will stay.

Most of the ones I responded to were back when we had some "nip and tuck" discussions about some "touchy" issues, such as religious beliefs.
I realized, as you said, that you were an atheist, and I respected your viewpoint and valued your opinion and tried not to make any provocative statements, but yet I felt that I had to make my beliefs known. My opinion was that you reciprocated the courtesy, and I respect that.

If you stay around, I feel like we can continue this type of conversation, as I have many other topics of a religious nature to bring up. Remember, I am not trying to do some type of "conversion" in the name of my beliefs, but just to throw out some interesting facts, based upon my biblical knowledge, (or lack of).
 
Goodbye Lon and Janice. Never burn your bridges though. Someday you'll be feeling lonely and will want to reconnect with old friends again. I'm sure you've had some fond memories here. Maybe you've forgotten. Time and age have a way of doing that.

Yeah, it pisses me off too when I see a dozen posts of mine disappear
And I think ‘harrumph, do I need this?’
Then I think ‘yeah, I need this’
Then I think, ‘does admin need this?’
Then I go back to being my cherubic self for awhile

Anyway, I hope, when I have a belly full, I have the presence of mind to just slip out the side door…maybe PM a couple dear folks, swap email
