Keep on getting junk mail from a survey from a survey company. By the third mailing they were up from 5 to 10$. They also started saying 'Or Resident' on the mailing envelope. Get calls shortly after if not mailed in, they insist someone agreed to take them. No one in the house does unsolicited business or agrees to anything from a phone solicitation. For specific charities we might say 'Send me more information in the mail and we'll think about it'. There is also a message in some of the envelopes saying they will send another $25 if we complete the survey.
To top it off I can't believe people actually fill those things out. They are the size of a small phone book, they literally will have book on you when they are done. Did some research and seems there are professional survey takers saying they average $130 per survey. I don't think they realize how much information they are giving up about themselves.
One of the mailings is a year old. No bill collection letters yet so I would assume it's safe to pocket the money and trash the paperwork. Some are telling me don't do anything with the money or paper(with a due date by the way) I always heard one can keep unsolicited cash or prizes sent in the mail?
