I’ve been to other senior sites but I like this site the best .


The site has a nice variety of members whom I’ve grown fond of. Many are high spirited, fun loving folks and most members are thoughtful & understanding.


The site’s moderation is the very best.
It’s surprising that the place is only run by two extremely modest and fair members.
I appreciate how discrete and low key they are in keeping things running smooth and fair all while interacting with others.


The site owners aren’t on a power trip of any kind and do their best to try and make members feel welcome and wanted.


My photos always show up beautifully at this site but since I’m not a techie , have no idea why.


I especially appreciate the balance there is between fun and serious stuff.
Membership is very diverse to keep the board interesting.


What do you like best about this forum?
 

It's a pleasant, well moderated site, fortunately fairly free of politics which is important in our present hate filled land. I don't post as often as many of you but do enjoy the diverse opinions offered on a wide variety of subjects.
 

I never participated in anything like this before I stumbled on this forum. I noticed at the time I joined I didn't have to participate in anything that didn't interest me and I could simply block these subjects and I wouldn't even see them. The members are a great group. Sitting down once in awhile during the day and reading the posts is relaxing and sometimes subjects that are posted lead to a lively discussion at the dinner table with the younger generation. I usually end up saying, "I'm not the only one who thinks the way I do."It still amazes me how we can talk about what is going on in our daily lives with people all over the world.
 
Matrix and SeaBreeze provide us with a place to hang out (for which we are all very grateful) but in actuality it's the members that make a forum.

Sometimes due to not having a face to face conversation and being able to hear a persons tone of voice, see their facial expressions, read their body language etc I feel that things said / pecked on a keyboard may be misinterpreted or get taken out of context from time to time but I find that for the most part you can still get to know a person fairly well through just their written word......all in all I think we've got a pretty good bunch of people hanging out here on SF.

I'm not really on any other senior forums, don't have twitter or snap chat or other things. So far so good here. I'm still kind of new and figuring out things. Sometimes I tend to pontificate. I'm working on toning that down. My apologies.

And that ain't easy
I've been a member of quite a few sites
Have yet to find a better 'low key' one than this

I do believe the absence of politics is huge

I frequent a very good site that just lost a long time, outstanding member, due to political differences
Me and their admin guy, of which I'm a FB friend, had many PMs in trying to get him back
I strongly suggested taking politics out...they won't

and of course the core folks here make things enjoyable

We ARE a pretty good bunch of people here and I wasn’t sure whether or not to add your names but why the heck not;

Seabreeze and Matrix, you two do a really great job here that doesn’t go unnoticed and we thank you.
You provide a wonderful site for all us old folks to play in and we really like it here
Maybe even ‘love’:grin:
 
I’ve tried various sites over the years, but here at Senior Forums I like the way Seabreeze and Matrix participate and quietly run the site between them without using ‘moderators’ some of whom love ‘throwing their weight around’ and can ruin a site single handed....

There’s a lot of respect and general kindness between members in the forums, and I’ve always been made to feel welcome

I was previously a member at the AARP website for 5yrs,learned about this from another disgruntled AARP user
What I truly love about this wonderful forum,it feels to me like an 'extended family' with 'relatives' from around the world . We can discuss, be supportive and disagree on any topic without being mean spirited about it.Its nice to know,if some 'relatives' become really obnoxious over a period of time,Seabreeze and Matrix will boot them to a 'time out' area for awhile or forever.
I've been here since Aug'17,I'll never forget how warmly I was greeted as a new member.I knew I had come to the right place.

I'll usually drop in, in the early mornings while having my coffee. For me I guess it's kind of like reading the morning paper. I'm not a big poster but I like to read what's going on, and maybe parpicpate if I feel I have something worth sharing. I agree with you folks, Matrix and Seabreeze set the tone of the forum and the members are the best. Thanks for letting me be a part of it, Davey.. :untroubled:
 
Ditto from me. I especially enjoy the "Games" topic, where we have a hilarious time. Drop in and try it, if you haven't discovered it yet.
 
I agree, this is a well put together site. Back before Facebook, I belonged to several forums. A couple closed down, most I left due to a lack of interest on my part, or just lack of time. Now this is the only one I visit. It is run well, and people are friendly, and I am glad that we are at the stage in our lives where we have mutual interests, and information to share.
 
Still fairly new to the site and I luv it....being able to communicate to other americans means the world to me....I'm a member on other sites but all british based and sometimes our words and thots are not as clear as here so Im grateful to have found this site....and yes the mods do a great job keeping it running smoothly and peaceful....Im enjoying all the posts with different opinions and posting my pictures freely, keeping it in good taste of course...the other sites its like anything goes with seeing trashy comments, trashy pics and sometimes very vulgar funnies....
Looks like Im here to stay and really enjoying all the members for who they are :)
