Living the Dream
And what was it.
When I was a teenager, I worked in a boutique. One day the manager and some of the others who worked there presented me with a box saying it was a gift. I opened it, dropped it and screamed. Inside was the hugest cockroach I had ever seen alive, and crawling towards my fingers as I opened it. I think this was a miserable thing to do to a person.

My sister gave me a back scratcher. (Gag gift?) NO! I use it every day ! Ha Ha
My supervisor gave me a wedding gift and I had no idea what it was. There were two of them. About 8" tall, all glass and shaped like an hour glass but open on both ends and each had their own wooden base.
Back then people wrote out thank you notes and my mom always said it was proper to mention the item by name in the note. I sat there a long time trying to figure out what to write. That's the one time I sent a note just thanking them.
That would have been my last day at that job, Chic. I'd have been sooo outta there.

What an evil old woman.
The MIL of one of my aunts was like that, but she was ultra passive-aggressive.....insult peope then smile and if they reacted she'd make them appear to be overly-sensitive.
