Diet Soda Fans....Read This

I don't pay much attention to what's in other people's grocery carts... certainly not enough attention to cringe.

Why cringe? Get in another line and go on about your own business.

I'm not the Food & Beverage police and I have no desire to play internet doctor and dentist. What people choose to spend their money on at the grocery store, restaurant, etc. is their business.

A.C. I can cringe if I want to and think about other's poor health and how they could take better care of themselves.

No MOST americans go until something really bad hits them and then they have to go to the hard care toxic drugs. Like diabetes for big starters...huge epidemic in the U.S. and Mexico I hear.

So so many are unevolved and unaware and then go on rants about the cost of trips to the ER and their insurance premiums...ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Sure, you can cringe if you want to. But, isn't that bad for YOUR health? Hmmmmm.

Other people can rant if they want to.

But if I saw someone cringing at what I/others had in our grocery carts I'd wonder if they needed the manager to call EMTs. More than likely I'd conclude they were a nut with too much free time and walk away. :lofl:

My parents never used sugar in their coffee, only milk. I think during the Depression sugar was either too expensive or hard to get. So I grew up not liking it in my coffee, I only use creamer, which isn't very healthy either....but real cream or half and half makes the coffee too cold too soon. Even in tea, I prefer honey over sugar.
During the depression sugar was plentiful (if you could afford it) but WW2 brought rationing and you were only allowed a certain amount per month with proper stamp.

Many years ago when coke and pepsi was the thing, I went from coke to pepsi and regular in both and then went on to many dental chairs. Now at almost 81, I have not been to a dentist in about 10 yrs as I've smartened up....changed so much of what I put into my body....like the sugary snacks i.e. cookies, pies, ice cream etc etc....love not making the dentists any more wealthy.

I clean my own teeth 2-3 times per day.

Make my own toothpaste from coconut oil, and clove drops or tree tea oil.

Take wonderful antioxidants to keep my gums healthy, tight, and very pink.

AND cut way way way back and even eliminated a lot of sugary cwap that I was addicted to for much of my life.

That's HOW. I'm my own dentist FINALLY, as I woke up to all the carbs and sugars.

I spent many years in dental chairs and wrote many checks to the dentists.

It seems the heaviest people I know drink diet sodas all day.

I don't drink any soda diet or otherwise, but I use Stevia in my morning coffee. I've read it's natural and not harmful, but maybe I'll re-check that.

HAHA. "I'll have a double cheeseburger, fries & a coke."
"Regular or Sugar Free Coke?"
"Sugar Free. I'm on a diet."

I'm not a food snob by any means but did a lot of damage with soda pops in my early life...so I know better not to touch the cwap....good clean quality water does a body good......

Even when feeling a slump, take a good long gulp.
I cringe when I'm at a grocery check out and people in front of me or behind are buying cases of that cwap....

I enjoy an occasional diet drink, like a ginger ale or lemon lime itype, especially if I have a tickle in my throat, & use a packet of aspartame in my a.m. Coffee & occasionally in tea. I don't feel as though it "tricks" me at all. Just one more thing I enjoy in moderation. MODERATION.

Good freaking grief

Moderation in all things
Bingo

Hell, I love a good cigar, and with it an occasional sip of Glenmorangie
And a small coke once a week

But constant? Hell, it’s just common sense.

If I saw someone cringing at someone else’s cart contents in the checkout line, I’d be inclined to suggest to them a high enema.
For mental health

Gimme a break
Git…a life

I’ve been around folks that obsess on health
It’s all they freakin’ do
I feel sorry for them a bit
Then
I start feeling sorry for me…and exit

I’ve got better things to do, like cut firewood while breathing in mountain air
Then stopping to guzzle the purest of mountain water

And once a week going to town…to sip a coke

I sincerely hope the coke or cigar is gonna do me in, as I’ve been living on borrowed time for 50 years….but living, every....day.
That’s over eighteen thousand days without a gun pointed at me.

Not obsessing on what’s gonna kill me, but occasionally thinking on what hasn’t, while sipping a single malt

cheers

I brush my teeth 2 or 3 times a day.
Flossing is done often as well as mouthwash , all natural of course BUT I never replace my dentist with good dental hygiene.
I also enjoy good health by trying to eat healthy BUT I don’t obsess over it. I do enjoy junky treats now and again.
Theres nothing like fresh homemade baked goods or my favourite ice cream on occasion. I usually get the kind made with coconut milk though but trust me when I say it’s delicious.
Gary, you’re such an adorable nutcase :lofl:

Keesha, that's fine for YOU, and most of the population..and I was there for 3/4 of my life and I found my "spot" at this late date and love love love not going to the dentist for the $100+ ckeaning. My coconut oil toothpaste is pretty incredible stuff. And I did years of sweets as that's why the dentists saw me so much....
