I'm not a food snob by any means but did a lot of damage with soda pops in my early life...so I know better not to touch the cwap....good clean quality water does a body good......
Even when feeling a slump, take a good long gulp.
I cringe when I'm at a grocery check out and people in front of me or behind are buying cases of that cwap....
I enjoy an occasional diet drink, like a ginger ale or lemon lime itype, especially if I have a tickle in my throat, & use a packet of aspartame in my a.m. Coffee & occasionally in tea. I don't feel as though it "tricks" me at all. Just one more thing I enjoy in moderation. MODERATION.
Good freaking grief
Moderation in all things
Bingo
Hell, I love a good cigar, and with it an occasional sip of Glenmorangie
And a small coke once a week
But constant? Hell, it’s just common sense.
If I saw someone cringing at someone else’s cart contents in the checkout line, I’d be inclined to suggest to them a high enema.
For mental health
Gimme a break
Git…a life
I’ve been around folks that obsess on health
It’s all they freakin’ do
I feel sorry for them a bit
Then
I start feeling sorry for me…and exit
I’ve got better things to do, like cut firewood while breathing in mountain air
Then stopping to guzzle the purest of mountain water
And once a week going to town…to sip a coke
I sincerely hope the coke or cigar is gonna do me in, as I’ve been living on borrowed time for 50 years….but living, every....day.
That’s over eighteen thousand days without a gun pointed at me.
Not obsessing on what’s gonna kill me, but occasionally thinking on what hasn’t, while sipping a single malt
cheers
