    A lighter topic... bamboo sheets?

    Bought a 'summer wife' when in Korea. It's a bamboo cylinder about 8in in diameter and 3-4ft long. It's put in bed with you during the summer to lift the sheets off your body and allow air circulation to keep you cool. Thought it was kinda neat and still have it but have never used it. -Arnold

    Monday for me. Weekend craziness in the neighborhood subsides and people go back to work or school. Never schedule anything on either a Monday or Friday. People are either too hung over from the weekend or too anticipating the weekend to do anything productive. -Arnold

    Daily. Houston, Texas IS an ongoing natural disaster. At least that's the way it seems this year past. Drought, hail, tornado, 'drencho', flooding and now hurricane followed by persistent substantial rainfall. All right, already. New normal, I guess.

    No interest in opening or closing ceremony for that matter. Events either. Like so many other things when big media and big money touches it becomes tarnished and loses its luster.
