I don't think I fight it, age is what it is. I do a lot of the same thing as before. Firewood, for me is year round, it keeps me going, which is letting me eat what I like only a bit less. People ask me why I don't hire people to do that, I answer with a question "What do I do then?" Over 70...

Been up here just over 30 years now, use propane and wood heat and love it. Both work well even when the power goes off, which still happens. Half an hour or so (depending on the roads) from a village for the basics in supplies. This is perfect

When the sun melted the heavy frost outside, shoveled the back out. Walked the dogs n me of course. Spent an hour and a bit cutting a couple of logs, then splitting and piling the wood. This is every other day, logs tend to be different widths. Temp today, -15 with wind , very warm sun...
