Choosing to be happy? A question for you.

I seldom just sit still and meditate. I did that when I was younger. I graduated from that to Tai Chi using my own mantras with each move. I do my Tai Chi every morning and it makes me feel calm and healthy. I do moves that bring focus on being female and finding unrealized strength. That gives...

Choosing to be happy? A question for you.

Happiness is an emotion which is a reaction to happenings in life. You can tell yourself that you are happy, then a friend dies and the emotion of sadness takes over. That is just being human. The most miserable people I know are those that claim to be happy. The proverbial sad but laughing...

Sure sorry to hear about your eyesight Gary. I was lucky to get my retina nerve decline stopped so limited vision in one eye, but good in the other. Does it help for replies to be in large print?

The Permafrost is melting fast in the Yukon, what are we going to do?

I read the entire report. Lots of claims made in general that don't work out if broken down. No where near the total footprint studied. Not even close. Just the shipping alone take 13 days, burns 1,092,000 gallons of fuel, and carries 4 wind turbines. That is 250,000 gals per turbine just...

Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

I love the National Geographic series. I am currently watching Life Below Zero. Port Protection was a good one, but I must wait until next month for the final season.

Coffee drinkers, do you drink/like flavored coffee

Only when I use Folgers instant and make a paste with Jerez brandy before pouring in the hot water. I hear my pot boiling now. Time for a hot toddy.

The Permafrost is melting fast in the Yukon, what are we going to do?

Electricity from turbines will never be used to make more turbines, that is inefficient and undependable. Since this thread is about permafrost, does anyone have anymore thoughts on a solution to slow the melt now? If not maybe all this alternative energy talk would better be suited on another...

Liquid diet Saturday and Sunday: Prep last night for colonoscopy today

More screening since they cannot remove polyps. It reveals things that might be hidden from the scope.

Liquid diet Saturday and Sunday: Prep last night for colonoscopy today

A colonoscopy reveals a lot more than just a cancer check or polyp removal. Many diseases or disorders can be found. I also insist having a endoscopy at the same time. An ultra sound might be a good idea also. I suffered for months recently and both scopes showed nothing changed. Other test...
