A spice..(for discussion)

I think people often use it for soups or marinades, or somtimes as a garnish. My cooking is too basic for doing that, so about the only spices I keep on hand are garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and paprika.

Never used coriander leaves. I used coriander in chopped format. Adding it toward the end of cooking. I see YouTube videos where people adding coriander leaves right at the beginning. I think they are just trying to be clever, as prolonged heat significantly reduces the flavour of coriander, so what's the point?

I am the same way . If I’m going to use freshly chopped cilantro, I use it at the very end..If I’m using coriander seeds or powered coriander, I usually add it towards the middle to end it.

I use cilantro leaves in a variety of dishes. When I make pico de gallo to accompany my tacos, it’s in the pico and also chopped up as a topping/garnish for the tacos.

I also use it just it as a garnish in grain bowls, also with other added ingredients in a food processor to make a creamy sauce. I don’t use it in actual cooking, because it diminishes the flavor. I only use fresh cilantro leaves in my soppings and uncooked sauces to add that bright, distinctive flavor.

Same here, I use it both as a leaf and ground as a spice, but I've never had great success growing it.
I have never tried growing it in the garden... just the pot on the windowsill .. should have tried when the X was still here because we used it almost every day cuz he loved spices in everything.. but now for me alone I wouldn't grow it...
