Both you and my husband. When I made a recipe that called for coriander, I put a tiny bit in. I couldn’t taste it, yet he could and commented. He rarely says anything.Do not care for coriander/cilantro at all... no matter what the name/form/cuisine![]()
Some people have a genetic predisposition to having cilantro taste like soap. Yes, it's actually genetic and you inherit it.
I am the same way . If I’m going to use freshly chopped cilantro, I use it at the very end..If I’m using coriander seeds or powered coriander, I usually add it towards the middle to end it.Never used coriander leaves. I used coriander in chopped format. Adding it toward the end of cooking. I see YouTube videos where people adding coriander leaves right at the beginning. I think they are just trying to be clever, as prolonged heat significantly reduces the flavour of coriander, so what's the point?
