The difference is the pads. Rabbits do not have pads on their feet so they cannot walk well on smooth surfaces. Like tiled or hardwood floors. Though my rabbit did walk okay on the tiled floor around my wood stove at my house. Most of the time it makes them not able to stand up. Since they hop instead of walking that is a big factor too.
