2023 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

Wow! We never get that much but 10 or 20 inches would be great. Our snow is also dryer, less moisture in an inch.
According to the latest, you'll get your wish by Saturday. They're predicting 8" to 10" in W and NW Idaho & W Nevada, and up to 12" in Utah. They're saying several feet in the Calif Sierras over this weekend. Celebration time for the ski resorts.

On the darker side, we've had 3 drownings due to flooding within Sacramento County, all within 20 miles of me, and one of them happened very near where Paxton lives. I'm gonna call him today.

Yesterday they called the second storm, due today, a cyclone, then it was the 3rd one, now they're saying the 4th one will be the worst but they stopped using the word cyclone. Winds up to 70mph, tho...so they say. These storms are sposed to hit one after another til mid-Jan.

That's not as bad as our weather guy said. But for the past half-decade or so, Calif weathermen report on winter as though it's the coming of The End Times. It's just winter; happens every year. Lately it sort of happens all at once, within a couple weeks instead of spreading the carnage out over 3 months, but I guess our TV weathermen are cashing in on California's worst fear that she can fall into the ocean at any time, and it has something to do with weather.

A strong wind is blowing in from the Pacific and picking up the snow chill from the passes along the way. Much need rain in the valley with low temps but not enough to bring down the snow levels. Good snuggling weather until the sun comes up.
