We'll be under a "heat dome" for the next several days, with daytime highs reaching triple digits. This may be the hottest week of the year in our area. At least I got our yard mowed yesterday, so the next few days will be "indoor" days.

Our outdoor thermometer showed 104 degrees this afternoon, and the local news said our heat index reached 118 this afternoon. The forecast says it will be next weekend before we get some nice weather.

It’s pretty much as hot as Hell’s front porch And has been for months. Triple digit heat has killed our lawn and plants. The city has enacted water rationing for outdoor watering, and yet they still approve more new housing.

It is 92deg F and 120 heat index woweee...and my main a/c
has just done a poop....no cold air at all.....whooeeee...mother
nature dear, I know you are pissed at all the pollution in the
air, and plastic floating everywhere, but will you please give
us a break!!!! Pretty please!!!!!

California's been getting hurricane warnings for days!

We got a little spit of rain, some clouds, and a stiff breeze for a few hours.

News programs showed massive flooding, but failed to point out that was all in the dessert areas, which always have a lot of run-off when it rains...sand acts like cement when it gets a good soak.

Los Angeles got plenty of rain....for a day. The fortunate homeless found refuge in dozens of public toilets, and under bridges, rail overpasses, and pilfered free umbrellas.

The rest just had to tough it out, as usual.

Another hot and humid day here. I stepped out an hour ago to pickup the mail, and my glasses immediately fogged up. We are keeping our AC set to 76, and that makes the outdoors feel like stepping into a Sauna. The heat index should be about 115 again later this afternoon.

It was very foggy this morning. I could hardly see across the street. Bright and sunny now. It's gone two days without rain, but it looks like we're in for it Friday evening into Saturday.
