It was 93 here, sun and a nice saving breeze. 5 to 8 pm wonders were abound, we buzzed around at our lake looking at the homes and changes 0n our lake UTV. The breeze was good. Today, it's 26C and humid. A couple of hours ago, it got dark and there was a sudden
downpour of rain, with thunder/lightning. The O/H was out teaching at his English
language class. The water backed up into the drain inside the building, and the parking
lot was flooded with 6 inches of rain. His shoes, socks and trousers were soaking wet.

Two powerful storms moved through yesterday afternoon and evening. 1.4 inches (3.6 cm) in the rain gauge. Sunny now, but more rain predicted this afternoon.

It was 90°earlier this afternoon. Right now, there's a thunderstorm. It's been raining like the hammers of hell for over an hour. There's so much water, my gutters are overflowing! The present temperature is 82°. I should've put my trash out earlier.

At Local Weather Forecast, News and Conditions | Weather Underground, there is a History tab where those that live about urban areas with an airport, may show weather data graphs at daily, weekly, and monthly scales. A reason Santa Clara County is so envied is we have one of best ocean moderated Mediterranean climates anywhere. We do have occasional hot days with temperatures in the 90Fs and even some 100F days, but our average high for August this year of 2023 was just 84F with only 4 days above 90F. Also overnight, temperatures cool into pleasant for sleeping low 60Fs as marine air flows in. Note the scales on the below graph changed between August and September.



Tomorrow Saturday 9/9 is supposed to be a wee less warm than today. In the afternoon, I'll be over in a nearby suburb where the forecast high shows a most pleasant 78F. The annual huge downtown on streets, 2 day Mountain View Art & Wine Festival will have live music from 3 bands each day. I plan to be there for a couple groups tomorrow for much street dancing fun as well as mingling with the crowds, eating food, meeting people, looking at art. Living in such a large urban region has endless interesting possibilities for we seniors.

Yes, we did get another storm in the early evening. Lots of heat lightning and thunder rumbles, but not as much rain. Only 0.14 inches in my gauge. Much more comfortable this morning.
