2024 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

We finally got a nice 1/2" of rain last night....after a month with none. The forecast is calling for as much as 5 inches over the weekend and into early next week. It seems that more and more we go from periods of drought to almost flood stage.

I agree and that does not bode well for the farmers. Hay quantity and quality are not good in my county this year.

I live in an AG county and pass a few hundred acres of crop fields on my way to town. The fields were getting stripped today. The crop was brown much of the summer. I think it was soy as they took it clear to the ground. They had two semis in the field waiting to be filled, but I’m sure the yield wasn’t near as profitable as it has been in the past.

We'd been up to the high 70s here for a couple of days. Done now, quite chilly and only 44F as we approach Noon.

A very few drops of rain during trick-o-treating last night, but halfway warm yet so the kids didn't have it too bad.

It's been mostly sunny days for a while, but just enough overnight rain here and there that we aren't at risk of going up in flames like some places.

Cold overnight. At first I thought it has snowed a little, but it was probably just a heavy frost. Dense fog this AM, but sunny now. Another warm-up predicted towards the middle of of the week - but not as warm at this past week. It's been a real roller coaster of daily temps.

Side note : Just to show you how wimpy we are where I live about cold weather, it started to hail here so a decision was made to close the dome at State Farm stadium during the Bears-Cardinals game :ROFLMAO:

Since some days fog during the night and the whole morning. After noon it is possible that the sun comes.

A part of my birthplace during the day:

At night with the fog the same place becomes creepy:

Unseasonably mild - 72F right now. Quite unusual for early November in the northeastern U.S. It's going to change soon, though. Increasing clouds and possible rain by tonight. More seasonable temps by the weekend.
