In the 20's when we woke up but was a gorgeous day today! Reached 50ºF (10C) and very sunny. Suppose to be warm all week until Friday.

Wild winds this afternoon picked up 3 of the feral cat shelters Me & Paxton made, and dropped off a neighbor's patio table and the lid of a barbecue grill. The same neighbor who lost his table got 2 of the cat shelters and the couple next door got the other one. I'll have to replace the roof on that one but the other two weren't damaged.

I moved the shelters closer to the back fence and tethered them down with ropes and tent spikes. The one that needs a new roof is in my workshop.

Ours was out for about six hours in Redwood City. I Fcuking HATE PG&A (Pacific Gas and Ass)
We lost electrical power for literally a moment. Our regional provider is SMUD; Sacramento Municipal Utility District. PG&E only provides our natural gas. So we pay 2 bills, but because SMUD repair and service people live in the immediate area, they're pretty fast at restoring power, so it's worth the extra postage stamp or whatever.

Also, SMUD employs their own tree team. Besides slicing up fallen trees quicker than PG&E even thinks of it, as soon as a storm is predicted, these guys drive around the city looking for trees that might cause a problem.

It's 1:45am and the power has just come back on. It was out for a couple of hours.
I guess I had dozed off and I awoke to a pitch black house inside. The neighbors across the street still had light, but not on my side. So, I sat up in bed reading w/a flashlight, till it came back on.

No rain and no wind happening though.

Still here and the radar shows nothing over our head in Redwood City, CA. Maybe NOW I can get a new battery for my truck.

I know about SMUD. Roseville Electric is better but SMUD is much better than PG&A.

It is looking like a excellent weather week in SW MI. Highs near 50 F. with a high near 60 F. on Thursday. Hard to beat those temps for February.

Wet. And, getting wetter. In the past 24 hours we've had more rain than we get for all of February and March, typically. It has become so wet that the moisture has soaked through the exterior walls and have shorted out my land line phone's wiring. The internet provider showed me how to bypass the short and hook the phone into the internet cable servicing my house. Glad they are there for me. I am hoping the rain won't short out the electrical wiring. Our homes just aren't built for this much rain nor for any sort of snow (which we've never gotten where I live). More rain today. A break on Wednesday. Then more rain Friday into Saturday. And, more rain predicted the middle of next week.

My next door neighbor has threatened to shoot me if I ever mention 'climate change' to him. I think he will be singing a different tune, soon. But, I won't mention it.:D
