Hot weather, dry conditions, and winds all can contribute to wildfire getting started & taking off.

I meant to say the rain. Lightening without the rain is dangerous. Hot weather, dry conditions and lightening with no rain

We went out to do our grocery shopping when the rain wasn't coming down hard .. it's thundering and still coming down. I think it's supposed to rain over the next couple of days. There were huge puddles on the side streets .. no doubt, some flooding around the city.

Today was warm. It was 24 degrees when we went for a walk. There wasn’t the least bit of breeze in the air so we didn’t walk far. We might have walked 2 kilometres.

We sure do, this year's lowest one so far was -8°C, thankfully we have never had -18°C to -22°C, I don't think I would get out of bed.

Where we used to live was in a tornado and snow belt. A few times it went down to -40 Celsius which is also -40 Fahrenheit
