Lower temps, though fairly humid. Another gray day, with intermittent showers which are to stay around through the weekend.

We bought a dehumidifier for the condo, and it's doing a great job. Even though we have central a/c, the unit tends to hold humidity which comes in through the hallway. We are not to weather-strip around the main entrance door (don't ask why).

I just read that as from Sunday we're going to get the HEAT back again.. and next week we'll have 90 plus temps... not good when most of us don't have AC in our homes

We're finally getting a break from the oppressive heat, so I got out early this morning and did about 4 hours of mowing, I got most of it done, and tomorrow I'll spend a couple of hours weed whacking around all the trees, etc. That should take care of the yard for most of August. If we don't get some rain, soon, I may not have to do much much more mowing, as the yard is starting to turn brown.

Wow - did we get a lot of rain here in a short time. There was 4.2" in my gauge after the remnants of TS Debby passed through yesterday afternoon. Fire department was around doing basement pump outs. The first time I had water on the cellar floor.

We received 5 inches of rain yesterday. Lucky to live out of town because in town flooded, water into all store fronts & banks and they lost power. Too much rain running off the mountain side which poured into town.

Even though our creek rose rapidly, we didn't have any issues. No water in our basement.

Yes it was! We were thankful we didn't receive any water damage and didn't loose power.
