We hit 103F about 4 this afternoon, probably about 110 on the heat index. This was the hottest day of the year, here, and we still have 2 or 3 more days of this heat before we get a break.

5pm and cooled down to 93-degrees (34C) right now.

Supposed to be another 3-digit day tomorrow (upwards from 37C). My plan is to play in the water and get the garden nice and wet at the same time.

Severe thunderstorm warning right now. Very high winds, lots of tree limbs already broken and much debris flying through the air, hitting the roof and side of the house, etc. Medium rain but whipped by the wind, heavy downpour just minutes away.

I ran out to bring the trash container in from the curb. Very scary and lots of tree-cracking sounds and a constant roar of wind.

It’s 26 degrees outside and sunny. Thunderstorms stopped.

St Louia area is warming nicely; over 99F here. Smoked in the sun on a Blacktop parking lot.

70 mph wind gusts. A rough one but at least I only lost power for 15 to 20 seconds. Not far away power went out and the repair estimate is for 24 hours later, i.e. tomorrow night.

I'll be getting branches and such off the roof and the yard tomorrow. The neighbors have a lot more big stuff to saw up and move.
