It looked like we might have received a sprinkle of rain overnight - the sidewalk and road looked wet - but just that - a sprinkle.
I just went out to check the mailbox and was surprised how mild it is now - 59F (15C). That's a heat wave for mid-November here.
Much needed rain predicted for Thursday - just the day I deliver meals.

The weather’ is really wet. It rained again today. Our walk was fairly wet but since I’ve got a cold w didn’t go far. It was about 5 or 6 degrees Celsius.

Starting Wednesday, a series of atmospheric river storms are forecast to move into Northern California north of where I live with the first relatively warm. By the next weekend, colder air will move in and sweep south across this area and into Southern California. My Tahoe ski resorts expect several feet of snow by Thanksgiving so I might be skiing by early December that has not been common this last couple decades.

And these system will then track east for the rest of the nation.

its 6.10 am...it's 37 deg... and it's raining so hard it woke me up at 4am...couldn't get back to sleep so got up at 5.15am..I'd only been asleep for less than 2 hours.. Now I'm up I have to stay up cuz I have a dentist appointment late morning... so doubtless I'll crash this afternoon...

49 F outside and very damp. First wave of rain was light but steady for some time but it has moved out. Next wave arrives in a few hours.

I got a lot of leaves raked, mulched down, and packaged for pickup. Then a smaller load raked and mulched and temporarily stored until I have more space to pack them up (I need more 30 gallon leaf bags). I hate to think how many cubic yards of leaves I've raked up and processed this season.
