It finally stopped snowing last night, but it's bitter cold, and of course all that snow and ice is sitting there on the ground. I'm not going out unless I have some desperate reason to do so.
Was 68 mostly yesterday, and overcast, calm.
Cold front finally arrived, wind woke me at 6:30am.
9:30am now, is only 46, up from 36 overnight. Overcast, gray skies.
Blowing like a 'northeaster'; birds having a hard time flying straight.
My daughter was complaining this morning that she has to walk one block from her car to an early class. It was 48F with a 25mph wind. I just laughed - oh the hardships! I wanted to tell her about some winter days in Fairbanks when it was -50F and definitely more than one block to get to a campus building. But, it’s sounds too much like something the “grumpy old man” from an SNL skit would say. “In my day…and WE LIKED IT!”
