We had a winter storm roll through yesterday and everything is covered in ice and snow.

Yep, said winter storm above dumped about 3 inches of sleet/snow mixture. The local populace freaks out when that happens, so I'm not bothering to go out knowing up front that it's pointless. Stores will be closed, hatches will be battened down, it's as if Snowmageddon is a real thing.

Went to Boot camp in your state Ft.Sill seems like 100 years ago and vividly remember the fields of prairie dogs , fantastic little animals but yes know considered pests by many there .

It's another cold day here in the Mid-Atlantic with a high of 28F/-2C. Snow was predicted, but hasn't fallen so far.

It is 80 degrees here so nice no complaints , walking to a plumbing job in 90 minutes .

Winters are nice not Summers .

Our city is very good with prompt snow clearance .. thank goodness. We had to grocery shop today - huge snow piles in the parking lots. I'm hoping for plenty of rain, come March, to wash away the accumulated snow.

Another cold day in the Mid-Atlantic with a high of 29F/2C. Snow is called for, but if we get any it will be light and won't accumulate. I'm looking forward to Monday when the weather should warm up significantly.

Winter temps have come all the way down thru Texas this week…. dry but in the 20’s this morning.
I won’t complain as long as I can stay inside.

When I got up this morning, the outdoor thermometer showed -17F. That is an all time low for this date, here. Hopefully, if the forecasts are correct, we will be back in the 50's, maybe close to 60, by this time, next week. I sure hope that is correct....I'm tired of this cold weather.

Right now it's -19C and very windy. At least much better than what we went through for the past week.
Now we will go to the next extreme, tomorrow and Saturday it will be a high of -1C and on the weekend 1-3 C plus. Also rain (freezing rain), snow. After that back to the low minus temperatures for a week.

Just in from the dog's afternoon walk. I had on two pairs of leggings, sweat pants, heavy socks, boots, a sweater, a heavy coat and thick gloves and I was still under dressed, should have taken a scarf. Thought my face was going to freeze off in the cold wind.
