The atmosphere was perfect to give us a great view of an early morning launch. The brighter glow is the booster rocket re-entering to land on its platform. These are not taken by me, but I saw it on my walk.

I have a new plan. I am going sneak onto one Musks rides to the moon and get off with enough supplies that will last a couple years until more folks come. It is my ultimate way of dealing with all the BS in the world today.Elon Musk was up early this morning.
His 18th launch for the year was today, May 6 at 5:42 a.m. ET, at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
This was the LIVE video this morning of SpaceX Falcon 9 but you have to start the video at the 4:20 minute mark so slide the bar
There is a schedule of launches online. You can also purchase tickets to the JFK Space Center online, along with a ticket to the launch site. I recommend doing this before you go. Ticket lines can be long, depending on when you go. If you do go, be sure to take sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.I've always wanted to see a launch. Airfares to Florida are dirt cheap now, I wouldn't mind flying down to see one. But I heard a scheduled launch can be this Sunday, or delayed to June????
Great post!or, could be aliens., they like to show off. Little green jerks...
Another great post, (sorry I felt the "Well said" button didn't do justice to the mirth created by these two posts, this and the one aboveI have a new plan. Great Pictures Pappy, we only see that stuff on TV.
I just thought that Elon Musk could make more Billions
if he turned one of hos rockets into a trash collector, the
image below is from NASA in 2021 I think and it shows
the problem.

Space Junk
Everyone should. I visited it as a kid in the 60s, first year they were open to visitors. Still remember it like yesterday (or think I do), quite an impressive place.get a chance to go to the Kennedy Space Center
I was just at the Space Coast a few months ago. What a place and for anyone that enjoys reading and learning about the sciences thatâs the place to go. I spent 6 hours there and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.
Yes, Musk had another Space X launch. More internet satellites, I would suppose.
Thanks, Mike. I have posted about this issue before. Yes - Elon Musk space trash pick-up seems like a great idea!Great Pictures Pappy, we only see that stuff on TV.

Space Junk
I donât mean to hijack the thread, but being a former pilot for 33 years, space is something that I have always thought about since my first aeronautical class in college. Yesterday, this thread continued to dwell on my mind when I had a flashback of when I was sitting in school and the teacher told us we were in for a special treat that day. It was then that she turned on the TV and we were able to watch Shepardâs launch into space, which was about a month after the Russian launch. That launch had an incredible affect on me. I think almost every boy started dreaming about being shot into space.
When the Challenger exploded on launch, it almost broke my heart. We were watching that launch on TV when the reporter said, âIt appears that something has gone wrong.â I felt almost the same way when I watched the replay of the Concorde catching fire.
If you have been or get a chance to go to the Kennedy Space Center, be sure to take a long look at the first space capsule and ask yourself, if you could sit in that thing all crunched up for hours. It takes a person with incredible courage to be an astronaut. Just to suit up and get ready for the launch would have me sweating. It seems that once the rocket has launched and goes into orbit, they are pretty much out of the woods.
