A bench

I have a bench, similar to that, with my husband's plaque on it. I talk to him.
bet you wish you hadn't asked!

I'd talk to my dad, and maybe my granddad, and perhaps a few words with my youngest brother.

Some say Jesus Crist, not me. I'd rather talk to my late wife and daughter.

I'd have a long talk with one of my grandkids, with their cell phones strictly off limits, finding out what their hopes and dreams are, and how their lives differ from ours at that age.

That is a tough one. Parents, grandparents and my brother are all gone. Would love to talk to each of them. If we are talking about someone alive, I would say Arnold Palmer. I'm a big golf fan and he did so much for the growth of the game I would enjoy talking to him. He has always been a top notch person too.

My husband.....three years in April, he died in his sleep of a stroke (we think it was a stroke, as he had aneurysms) anyway....I didn't even get to say goodbye.

Jackie, Do you ever feel like your husband is near you. I never believed in those ideas, but at times I could swear ER, (my son), is near. Probably all in my head, because now I want him near.:dunno:

Yes, Ina, I do...I catch myself talking to him too...It is our way to keep them near.

There are things that he left laying around....tools.... that I try not to move....why...I don't know???....Lordy, I need to get off this or I'll be in a downer the rest of the day...lol...got to keep moving.

People often comment on how easily I can strike up a conversation with strangers. Maybe it's because I'm just lonely but I prefer to think of it as connection with fellow travelers on this third stone from the sun. Heck, we're all in this together. Just trying to make it through one more day. Why not stop to say, "Hello." Except for the dangerous and weird . . .

Thats ther problems with people today, We dont know who we are first talking to. Sad but in todays world you could get killed just saying " hello" to a total stranger.
I will say HELLO to strangers but they have to say it first.

Davey your so right there... you don`t know who you are talking to its a little scary in this day and age..but me being a chatty soul I take a chance I think I guess what that person is like and usually am right .. but this kind of thing doesn`t happen very often.. maybe now and then... but I do sit on bench beside the beach and just take in the view and smell of the ocean I love that the same as I love the smell of the bush.. theres something nice about nature.. just my way I guess..
