A block option is much needed!

But since this site has been operating successfully for so long without that feature I think the saying of if " it ain't broke don't fix it " applies.

For me when someone posted an what I thought was an offensive opinion. I thought about the why of their opinion. So I take what I read as learning lesson.

That's YOU, not me. Everyone is different, and I want more control over posts I create, and the ability to block/delete those whom I deem are behaving irrationally, or engaging in bullying on any level.

Sorry, but such an option would be intolerable and destructive to the forum. If you find an individual annoying please feel free to block them from your view, but the power to block an individual‘s posts from the view of everyone is, and should be, limited to the forum managers.

Yes, everyone is different. You are a person who seeks the ability to improve on things but the inability to see that sometimes the original is the best on many levels.
 
Now, this section is named "Forum Support & Suggestions", which is what I did. So why is everyone else here posting sarcastic remarks and comments, and nothing to do with suggestions or support for this site? I did not post my article as an opinion or popularity poll, whomever is in charge of this, should be monitoring those comments that do not fall in line with what this section is for.

Not only have people here suggested you use the ignore feature and to contact Matrix, they've advised you there is not and will never be a block feature and encouraged you to get over it. Matrix responded as well.

We've done the best we can do. Maybe Senior Forums just isn't a good fit for you.

That would be because you have disagreed with *everything* that has been said. There was even some name calling and mocking others which is absolutely not allowed here. I'm actually surprised, since this is indeed a suggestion thread, that no one has suggested a "vote off the island" option. :unsure:

Now that said, I *really* hope you're not doing this baiting so you can pull the transgender card and say people are picking on you for that. You were welcomed like everyone else when you first arrived... with open arms. If you feel "picked on" it would be because you have systematically mocked and offended quite a number of our established and well-loved members. Not a way to make friends and influence people.
 
Don't state the obvious, I already have addressed the reason for my suggestion, on posts I create. But I do give you credit for posting on the subject here.

Here is your absolute.....

You will not have the ability to delete/block certain people or comments from YOUR posts just because they disagree with you. (Edit :I meant to say THREADS)

You will not have control over other people's posts except:
You can REPORT any post to @Matrix that you feel is attacking you and state your concerns. Be prepared for his decision.

You have to be on the forum for a certain amount of time/posts before you can do certain things like.....
Delete your own posts during a 24 hour time frame.
Private Message others
Make albums of images, load banner on your profile and add videos to your albums.

Seek elsewhere. We are a very happy community from around the world learning to navigate retirement and supporting each other in times of need. We like what we have and don't see the need to change it.
Trying to force people to see your point of view, however screwed up it may be, isn't the way to do it.
Maybe find a forum for "special" people like yourself.
......Or weed.....get yourself some good weed and mellow out a bit.
 
All you did was state the obvious, not anything I do not already know. The only opinions I am concerned with, are of those who can put my suggestions into action and I hope they do. So your opinions are irrelevant. Again, This forum/thread is for suggestions/support for the site in general. If you have nothing to add or suggest in those lines, the keep them out of my thread. This is why I want the options to delete/block people and their comments, on my posts.

Your post is good example of why I want my suggestion put into action. Your post just now, is a form of bullying by definition, and I have followed the process to see that this is addressed.
