'A Hello From Heaven'

Cheers!
A mom in Waterton, Alberta captured a breathtaking moment that has touched hearts around the world — and many believe it was a sign from Heaven.

Kierra Irvine shared a video of her children playing by the water during a recent family outing. The date was significant: they were visiting on what Kierra calls “Evanna’s Angelversary,” marking five years since the passing of their oldest daughter.

As the kids played near the lake, something unexpected happened. A deer quietly appeared out of nowhere and walked slowly toward the shoreline — right beside her children. The animal didn’t startle or rush past. It simply stood near them, peaceful and calm, as if it belonged there.

Do you think it was a "Hello from heaven"?

I have seen unexpected actions from wild animals like this before. It is simply outside the norm, nothing more. Fawns taken from their mothers by humans (illegal in almost all states) can lose their fear of humans entirely. They can even be hand fed in National Parks or urban interfaces where they are protected.

Granted the video is cute, and has an appeal. It can be enjoyed as much without attaching a miracle to the situation.

I stepped off my porch into the yard about 3 years ago, and there was a little spotted fawn five feet from me. It froze as deer and especially fawns often do. I froze too, just to see how long we could be there together. There was a doe on the other side of the lawn, the obvious mother that the fawn had been trailing. She just stood there and watched.

But on the opposite side of the lawn was a buck. I was surprised to see it had a nice rack, as it was so early in the summer. The buck froze too and watched. I think this lasted for 5 minutes, and I finally got bored and stepped back, at which time, the fawn moved over to the doe, and buck went the other way.

People have the right to believe whatever they want, or need.

But there is nothing unusual about what that deer did. We have herds of deer roaming around my community all the time, and often they come up very close to the humans. They are not afraid of us, and often have their picture taken.

No

When we lived in Pa. our property was surrounded by trees & wild life. A small deer herd used to frequent the lower part of our property to drink from the pond & eat in grass covered area next to the pond. We could be there & that herd would ignore us.

The deer did belong there, it's in it's natural habitat. Just not spooked that humans are there too.

When I moved in here 9 yrs ago I opened the back window and a small doe was there. She put her nose on the screen and we had a nice encouter. I stayed 2 yrs and the day I moved out there she was again. I was gone 3 yrs and returned and had another apt than the one before. There she was, right up to my window just looking into my eyes. I never fed her --ever so it wasn't for food she came. I am still here and haven't seen her again.
