I`m sure I qualify because if I had a cake for my birthday 3 days ago I would have had to blow out 82 candles.
No cake but a wonderful 82 years.
To be able to represent your country at two Olympic Games.
To be able to spend your working life in what in younger years was your hobby, chemistry.
To live in a magnificent country 5 mins. from the beach where I can swim and surf each day of the year.
And to play music in local bands. I play (?) violin, cello, tenor and alto sax, and clarinet.
So Hullo, Hullo to you all out there in many countries of the world.

Thank you both Dame and hollydolly for your kind welcome. Reading my description I`ve felt a bit guilty. It`s hard to say who you are and what you do because it all sounds like a brag and I did`nt mean it that way.
I`m North of Sydney in Port Macquarie. Real'cooker" today.
Please call me Russ and how do I put a photo in this forum?

Russ, you have no worries on this forum about perceived bragging, everyone is very supportive on here of everyone else's achievements. We in the Uk and Australia unlike Americans, are always a little shy in being proud of what we are good at, and really we should take a lesson from our US friends and be proud of the smallest and the biggest, and be happy for everyone else too.

To add a photo to the forum just click on the little picture box above the reply box..3rd from the right, and upload your picture from wherever you have it stored on your PC. if you mean a personal avatar, then click on 'forum actions' at the top of the page.. then choose 'general settings' from the drop down menu.. then ''my settings ' on the left of the page..edit your profile and or avatar from there.. :)

I love the way you are Holly, as well as the rest of the US neighbors, we in the US, well some, could take lessons on learning about being humble, I love humble, but yet I love to see the different styles and decors of other countries, thank goodness for internet;)

Welcome from another Octogenarian. I love Oz , been there many times and could stand living there full time if I didn't live in the U.S. My Kiwi ex wife would be dismayed that I would not choose NZ.
