There's a new ugliest dog in the world!

On Friday, NBC’s Kerry Sanders served as a judge at the 2022 World's Ugliest Dog contest in Petaluma, California, and helped crown a hairless Chinese crested-Chihuahua mix named Mr. Happy Face as the winner.


Mr. Happy Face's owner, Janeda Banelly, said the title was an honor. In August 2021, she adopted the dog from an Arizona shelter after he was rescued from a hoarder’s house.

Except Chinese Cresteds. They've won Ugliest Dog several times. Mr. Happy Face is adorable, but let's face it, the Chinese Crested is not a pretty pupper.

Are they sure that little guy's a dog? He looks kind of like a koala bear to me. LOL

My dachshund has no teeth now so her tongue hangs out the side most of the time and the tan in her black and tan coat has turned mostly white. She's still a pretty girl to me though!
