A Nice Walk ( with photos )

This is the same area …see the triangle shape …on roundabout ……..That's where the photo was taken of me up here ^^^


In the right of ……photo is Queensland …( pink building ) …..left is NSW ….and in summer NSW has daylight savings but QLD refuses …..so there is an hours difference in time depending on what side of the MAIN Street you may be on ….
The paved path is the boundary …….and what’s it called …boundary street of course :) :) :) :)

Thanks for letting me post photos ..,yep I was walking taking them :):)….I don’t know if there’s anywhere to post photo on here other than in threads

This is a long holiday you two are on. Do you have lots of places mapped out that you are going to visit or are you just winging it?

on Friday , as this accommodation is booked out for the upcoming 1960’s rock n roll - huge 3 day show
it’s called Cooly rocks. Cooly Rocks On | 4 - 8 June 2025

( Not staying at SeaWorld )
We will stay there till June 9 th which is about 20 km from here …then decide if we go home or stay an extra week
we budget all year to spend time away …in winter it’s usually nice spring like weather but it’s been wet so far …

Nice areas to walk and take photos near SeaWorld as well…

Oh you do this every year and it’s well planned. That’s cool! Sea World looks like a blast. It looks a lot like Disney world and Disneyland. I’m excited for you. You two are usually doing something exciting. Good for you.

It’s only 7 am here at moment ….we are going to a afternoon dance today that’s 11.30 ~ 4 and it includes lunch
In cost $9 each ..lunch is mini pies / pasties / sandwiches / cake and a cool drink or water ….or tea coffee
Yep are enjoying our life @PeppermintPatty …I’m coming up 80 and got intentions of sitting around waiting to die …hee hee …:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.we both worked to pay off our home in our late 40’s ~ never went anywhere….so now we are making up for it…what do they call it ….oh that’s right spending our kids inheritance ….on ourselves…:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
By the time we drive home 2, 300 km ‘s …. it will be 7.1/2 weeks away ….

We've visited sea world twice …..it’s a …day long ….visit just looking at the sea creatures big and small ….not interested In rides …attractions ….
the Gold Coast has lots of “Worlds” attractions …theme parks …

Today we went into town so walked on the forest path. It’s a 4 kilometre walk. We saw 3 people today. Three women. One with no dog and 2 with big dogs. One of the dogs name was Grisly. It was a Labrador Retriever. It was an older dog. It has grey around its face.

We let her go ahead of us since we have the dogs. On the way back we met a woman with a labradoodle. She asked if her dog could smell our dogs so it would stop pulling her so we did.

I took a picture of the moss on the side of the rocks along the river. IMG_8751.jpeg
On the way home I took a photo of the ocean bay. It was sunny and looked pretty.

Have a lovely day. Tomorrow our dogs are getting professionally groomed. It’s an hours drive but the woman is worth it. She’s really good with our dogs.

Your property is beautiful.

Today we took our dogs to the groomers where they were bathed, brushed, clipped and had their nails done. It took the groomer 1 hour 45 minutes to clip them.
The groomer recommended a restaurant that was really close by. My husband and I haven’t been to a restaurant in 4 years and she was right, the food and service was excellent. This restaurant won first in making clam chowder in all of canada. We ordered fish and chips and it was excellent.
When we were finished we left and still had an hour to waste so we looked for some interesting things to take photos of.

Today we went into town and walked through the forest. We passed a young women who had been smoking marijuana. We smelled it instantly on the path and laughed. She’d lit up a cigarillo to try and cover up the marijuana smell. Lol.

On the way back from our walk we ran into the women with the 85 pound Labradoodle. She was happy that we let her dog meet up with ours. Luckily none of them reacted negatively. Even our little boy didn’t bark. It’ was a good meeting. We are trying to gradually get our younger dog socialized.

On the way home I saw an eagle so got out of the car to get a picture of it. It’s not a great photo but it’s a photo all the same.

Winter is giving way!
 
The older style homes / appartments ..units as they are mainly called are quickly vanishing along the seafront to be replaced by luxury townhouse / units worth ..starting price ….about $2.5 million each ( single unit price )penthouse
start at $10 million
