That’s right. Unfortunately all paths we now go through ARE forested areas. The only paths we can walk on are own paths. For a while we wondered where we could walk. All places we walk are now prohibited. There are two beach walks we an go on and our own forest walks but that’s it. I wonder how long this walk restrictions are on for? Do you know? It’s depressing already.I heard about the ban on not only having fires but also about people being in forested areas for any sort of recreational purposes. That's too bad because I know you guys love your daily walks. I know you can problably find other non-forested walking routes but it's not the same as the atmosphere of walking through the forest.
The wild fire situation in Canada this summer is shocking with currently over 700 wild fires burning and likely to become even worst before any relief is seen. Very dry this summer in most of the country which is the reason and of course much of Canada is forested area.
Hopefully we'll see more rain come Sept.![]()
This is pretty much what my husband said. They haven't said but if I were to venture a guess, based on typical seasonal climate change dates, I would say mid-Sept.? Of course that could change if you start getting some storms coming up in mid-late Aug. Hurricane season will be starting soon and some of them end up as tropical depressions along Canada's east coast, as I'm sure you are well aware![]()
Great minds think alikeThis is pretty much what my husband said.
Thanks MrPants!
Thank you Kaila,I feel very sad about those wildfires, and about how it effects you as well,
Patty.
I'm glad to see your photos, today.![]()
That’s a good idea but we generally do our walking in the mornings. We’ll figure something out.Saw you went to the city and walked. That’s what I was going to suggest. Anything different is therapeutic. We do downtown walks, usually when the shops are closed. It’s a different way to view where you live.
So lovely!!!! Do you help with stacking and bringing in the wood for your fires? That’s a good idea but we generally do our walking in the mornings. We’ll figure something out.
This morning’ we walked at the back of our property. My husband made some paths with the atv trail. I find them difficult to walk on. They are much easier to walk on in the winter once the snow falls. It covers up all the rocks and branches. That’s after my husband has made trails with the atv.
This is our wood chipper that my husband uses to make mulch for our gardens. There is one pile of wood. We have about 12 piles of wood stacked and drying for our Woodstove.

These trails go back and forth along the width of our property and stop a full kilometre behind our house. It’s clearly marked with ribbons on the trees.
