A Public Apology

I have been on the forum for nearly a year and a half. I don't know where the time went, but then I never know what day it is anyway. At any rate, being semi-illiterate with modern technology, I have just kind of fumbled my way around the forum. It just recently occurred to me that I have failed to acknowledge many very flattering comments on my posts over my time here. So I thank you all very much. You know who you are. I think we have an excellent group here. Very well informed and thoughtful. A lot of great posts from all. I return your compliments with my apologies.

Underock, if you're talking about reputations comments made to you here's a bit more information on that and other things here that may be helpful. No apology needed. :)

If you click on "Settings" at the top of the forum page, it will take you to your personal page which shows Reputation points received by you, and given by you. Below the posts on the green line, the small star is what you click to give someone positive reputation. It's an easy way to say thanks or I agree, etc. to another member.

As members accumulate reputation points, the little green squares under their user names in their posts will increase. There is no way to reply to them, short of sending a private message. Normally, we are happy to receive rep points, and can say thanks by giving that person reputation when they have a message that is helpful to you, or that you agree with.

When you receive reputation, you are notified by "Notifications" at the top of the forum page. Click on that to see your new comment.

Here's a thread with some useful information, there's more on the forum main homepage under the Forum Support and Suggestions section, or feel free to send me a private message (PM) is you need help with anything or have any more questions. https://www.seniorforums.com/showthread.php/1531-Getting-To-Know-Senior-Forums

Quite all right and you're welcome!!! I didn't know about the compliment/notification thing until rather recently. I mean I knew about sending them but not really connecting I could read my own too...aye it's all good.

Thanks, SeaBreeze. That's very helpful. I did manage to fumble my way through to some of that. That's when I discovered all of the comments. Kind of glad to find there's no way to reply to them. I don't feel quite as guilty. I have started to add to others reps recently. Appreciate your help. Have a good one! :christmas2:

Underock...no need to apologise, not everyone realises that the rep points are there as you have so recently discovered :)...you;re a nice guy with interesting stuff to say...and whatever Rep points you get you undoubtedly deserve..

I've enjoyed the repartee here as well underoc with you as well as the wonderful assortment of other folks too. Lots of interesting discussions as well (and no bloodshed which is a really nice plus don't you think ;)?)

I not only WANT an apology, I EXPECT and DEMAND an apology in the mail, 8"x10", framed in guilt ... err, I mean, gold leaf  ... with my name in that flowery script at the bottom with pretty scrolls around it

... and a box of M&Ms.

You're good people - don't sweat it. :sentimental:

'Rock1, you're one of the best. I've always enjoyed your posts and valued your friendships. No apologies neccessary from my point of view either.
