I'm afraid to say that I did not raise my children with religion, I chose to raise them with all the commercial holidays.
When they were little, My husband and I used to make a huge fuss about Easter and Christmas.
At Easter, they had to follow the talcum powder footprints of the Easter Bunny to find the chocolate easter eggs.
On Christmas eve we would leave out the cookies and milk for Santa and a carrot for the Boomers, Then when we were sure they were just about ready to doze off, Terry and I got out our bells and torches with red cellophane of them and rang them as well as slowly raising the torch high into the sky.
We would then make sleigh tracks by running an old bike rim in the ground.
The kids loved it and would always dash outside to see if the Boomers ate the carrot, to find a half-chewed Carrot and a thankyou note from the boomers.
It warms my heart that my daughter has continued these traditions m
