My eldest son is a witch also and this meme reminds me, much to my amusement, of our respective approaches.
The "me" in this scenario is my son. I can be like this at times, but this is his preferred approach. He's just direct like that.

Great insight! Yes the dark has taken with it the old habits and there is a transformation of one's spirit to drop the habits that keep us from being free. Everyone is different and we morph into the new creature we're becoming.

The Yule season is over, for me anyway. So, I've put the trees away and resumed my regular activities, one of which is shadow work. Today I was working on the virtues I value within myself and in my relationships. Authenticity is not listed below, but it is important to me and is far above honesty, which can actually be harmful when misused. And loyalty; that's huge. I am loyal and I want that back.
I am very blessed because I have these things in my relationships and I'm just here taking a moment to be grateful.
My wish is that we all find the virtues we value in ourselves and those we cherish.
