The annual Australian Bird of the Year poll has revealed the Australian maggie # 1 and the bin chicken, the Australian Ibis is #2. The poll was not without controversy. Apparently it was hacked to make the Powerful Owl the winner but this was detected and the owl was eliminated.

Beautiful little lorikeets. They almost don't look real.

What I want to know is, are these common outdoors in Australia? Someone seems to be encouraging it with a noise in the background at first, but holy moly what a racket. LOL! Reminds me of the old Tarzan movies.
