Another attack against Christmas

I wonder if there is any statute banning the government from showing any one religion/sect preferential treatment or official status.
I think the above about says it. 'our Charter of Rights and Freedoms does guarantee freedom of religion and protects the rights of non-religious people.' It covers government from either banning or giving preferential treatment on religious beliefs, just like it covers Canadian individuals. So if I'm a landlord, I can't discriminate based on someone being a Christian or a Muslim or a Satanist. Nor can the government.

Christmas is celebrated on December 25 to honor the birth of Jesus Christ. This date was chosen because it matches the Roman festival celebrating the rebirth of the sun. Over time, Christmas has become a popular holiday that brings families together and highlights love, compassion, and generosity.

Sure, there is a lot of greed involved with the holidays also. Jesus cringes about that! Our Lady of Mercy cries blood red tears. Tons of areas start it in September even before Halloween. Greed is awash!

Toss a kiss to Jesus's picture and he may toss one back at cha.
