I never had any experiences with sinkholes, or even thought about them until that man in Florida was killed by one in his own home. I guess he got a one-in-hole. 
Sinkholes are nothing new here in coal-mining country, but to be truthful I don't recall hearing about one for a while (crossing fingers).
As if dark, cloudy days and ignorant people aren't enough of a challenge here, we also have to watch where we step.

I just can't even imagine having your home suddenly sink into a hole like that! I've never heard of any around here.
