Hi Ameriscot, I'm in the northwest of England (Cumbria). Welcome to the forum.
We got few here from down under, just watch out for that LADY.
Well clearly you already know where I am lol... we do have people here from OZ and NZ as well..![]()
Do you mean moi?
I'm not a lady. A lady is the wife of a gentlemen with the title of Sir, being a knight of the realm.
I'll have you know that I am a dame of the empire in my own right, albeit self appointed.
And I have a fine set of pointy teeth.
Hi Ameriscot, I live in N.Aberdeenshire. What part of the country are you in?
Scotland intriques me.. ever since I read The Outlander.. Love the accent by the way.
Yes, I live in the UK.
Yes... I certainly have... I fell madly in love with Jamie and Claire from the very start. I can just hear Jamie's Scottish growl... Diana Gabaldon is masterful!!
Looks like there are quite a few in the UK. I assumed by browsing many of the topic titles that most were American.
Why? Quite a few from across the pond post on UK forums!
Me too! What do you think of the tv series? I think the casting was perfect, although Jamie does not have the cats eyes as described often in the books.
I confess to not having watched the TV series... I don't watch much TV.. I prefer the images Gabaldon has painted in her writings.. I think I stopped the series after The Firey Cross.. when Jaime and Claire came to the US.
Are you American? What part of the US are you from?
I've read all 8. It does get better and better. The Fiery Cross was difficult to get through during the first half, but got dramatic later. You're missing a lot if you don't read the rest - like their daughter's adventures!
Yes, I'm American. Originally Michigan but also MA, FL and finally TN before moving to Scotland in 2000 (marriage).
I live in the U.S., but just got back last week from a wonderful visit to Cornwall, England. Does that count? :friendly_wink:
