Seriously, I'm 57, I have wrinkles and crepey skin and a couple age spots and my hands are all veiny... LOL! Really selling this "see me in person thing" am I not?!! AND my blue/green hair is looking all weird because I have to let it fade out for a while and recover before I can recolor it. I'm a vision. :oops:

But I don't care about any of that because I'm a Crone, (as in Maiden/Mother/Crone) and all Crones, wise, sage women are beautiful.
(Still keeping the bag handy though, just in case.)

It will just be nice to hang out with you guys in whatever form you want to take, with whatever you want to drink or eat or work on. :giggle:

I'm shocked! At 69 no visible signs of aging, I'm near perfect! Except for my eye sight that is...

I think you can turn your camera off on Zoom, if its a big issue to anyone. But I can't think of a crowd we could feel more comfortable about just looking ourselves around. This ain't a job interview or online dating or anything...

You can turn your camera off or your audio or both, even, if you just want to text.

The only semi-bummer is that with the free version of ZOOM, which is what I have, we will only get 40 minutes of meeting time. However, there's nothing to stop us simply starting a new meeting if we want to keep talking. Might be a good starting point though, anyway.

Right now I don't use it much, talking to family, etc., but I'm considering a paid version for future use.

Oh awesome; welcome. :) -- Hang on because I'm not sure you'll need to. I may be able to post the meeting link and info directly to our Coffee Klatch Thread. Or, barring that, I - can possibly post it to the profiles of peeps who want to attend, although that will exclude anyone who decides last minute. Still feeling that one out. Opinions?

Actually, lemme just add to this that you will be given the option to turn your video and/or audio off before entering the meeting. :)

Two quickies: What's the feel for this Tuesday? And is anyone around now for a quick test run? I just did one with my boyfriend and it worked fine, but he's just one person and I'd like to do one more with a few peeps if you guys are here and up for it. TOTALLY okay if not, and if so, warning: I am scary looking today. Like, for real.

Before I was fully sure I would be accepting Islam, my son said "Ma...know what would be a good religion for you? Voodoo". I asked him if he was nuts. My retort: "Voodoo..I don't think so, anyway, I don't need props" (the dolls, chicken blood, etc). Okay, I know and anyone who knows me well knows I'm psychic and my honorary daughter claims I can make things happen by just thinking about them but Voodoo...no thanks. @Marie5656

However @Medusa, despite the fact that I hate how I look (weird) on those Zoom calls, I'd be interested too. Great idea....next best thing to a meet up! IMO 40 minutes of meeting time per session is long enough, especially since all interested may not necessarily be on each call at the same time.

If someone decides at the last minute that they want to join, they can be included in the next Zoom meeting, that's all. I have one concern though...how will we coordinate the time, since we are many in a global community in different time zones? I've noticed the time stamps on some of the posts and replies don't match up with the actually time of the posts. I see that often here and realized that those times are from a different time zone. You are correct about just needing to provide the link (or I think another method is providing a code).
