Anyone want to chat about anything at all? 🤓

We read that book (or did we just watch the movie?) when I went back to school about 12 years ago and I still didn't know that, or remember it if I did know, about the dates. Great movie.
I haven't seen the movie but could look for it online. What did you go back to school to study 12 years ago?

Originally, I thought I wanted to study nursing but realized about a semester in that I'm not social enough for that profession. I stayed in school for a bit longer, though, because I was enjoying it, and from that point took courses that interested me, i.e., Sociology, Psychology, Social Psychology. Not that I remember much of them ten years later. But it was fun, taking classes.

Nice of you to ask, Ruthanne. :) You're thoughtful that way.

The movie, 1984 is available to watch on Amazon Prime. :)

Thanks @Medusa I, too, went back to school and studied those same courses! It was about 30 years ago for me....lol.... I'm not sure what I remember from them still.

I have Prime. I'll look that movie up. I appreciate that! 😊

I still feel alone and miss my little sweetie. Oh well I guess I am too boring for anyone to bother with now. Adios!
You are not alone. I am usually off my computer around this time. Today I did a lot of stuff and did not follow my normal routine. So I am so tired I can barely type. Yet nothing I did was really that physical. Unless you count putting clothes into a washing machine and dryer.

I expect this will be the last year of my little bunny boy's life. He is old by rabbit years, 11. He has some bad days and just wants me to leave him alone. Kind of hard to do. Tugging at my heart, you know.

I'm sorry for your going through what I just have gone through too. Yes it sure does tug at your heart because you love him so much ❤️ and have been taking care of him for 11 years. I'm sure he really appreciates you! During my dog's last year I gave her her favorite foods and danced with her and had many conversations with her. Well she sat and listened to me go on. I understand.

I'm sorry I made that stupid post, going through lots of changes and struggles and stuff.

does he have a name? - if so you could write us a story of the life and times of ?????????? that would be interesting?

I have been thinking of you, Ruthanne.
It's understandable how you feel about missing your Suzy. 💖

I remember how terrible it was for me , years ago now, losing my dearest animal companion who meant so much to me and changed my life. 😔
At some hours, it hurts more than others.

I'm glad to see you and others, posting on this thread, this morning. 🙂🤩🥰

Now I have to get ready to go to the dentist, this morning. Ugh! I've procrastinated on it, but today, I must go. 🙄😉😊

I really can't for several personal reasons. One is that I can no longer afford Vet prices. I am too old, too, and have a chronic, progressive illness and don't think I would outlive another pup. Thanks, though, for the idea.
I am 75, living alone since my wife of 42 years passed a little over 4 years ago. At that time, everyone told me, "you need a dog." I was wallowing in grief, but I made the effort and 1 month later, I had Emma, my little chi-weenie. I, too, am constantly strapped financially, I am a heart patient with a near fatal heart attack and a quintuple by-pass open-heart surgery in my recent past. I knew that it would probably be a horse race as to who would outlive who. HOWEVER, the love I have gotten from my precious furry daughter saved my life. The importance of what a loving dog can do for a senior can not be minimized!

Emma can be re-homed if necessary and, although I know she would miss me, she would live on. The opposite is not true. I would again find my self awash in grief. From my experiences, I have determined that there is no good excuse or reason (other than being on death's door) for denying yourself the love of a furry companion. Other than when I got her, Emma has not been to the vet once. The love you can return to your pet (particularly if he/she is a rescue, would enrich their life beyond measure, no matter the length of time.

It is just my opinion naturally, with kind regards,

-David-

I do not post very often but I hope you start feeling better. It seems like a lot of members are posting on your thread. I like you and your posts just not online to post all the time.
Good to see you posting today! I like you too! Thank you for the well wishes. This song reminds me of now:

Yesterday I slept late again 😴 So now I'm up at 2am. I had a good salad a little bit ago.

Some days are easier than others. When I get myself together again I will be getting more medical care. I haven't had Labs in a few years. I ran out of cholesterol medicine but noticed the pain I had in my upper leg is subsiding.

I had that pain for many years while I was taking the cholesterol meds. The pain was so bad I couldn't lift my leg up to put my slacks on. I can almost lift my leg normally. I had other cholesterol meds cause leg pain too.

If I can find something natural for lowering cholesterol I will try it. My arteries are very full of plaque I think it's called that I don't know if anything can really help that. Oh well, we all have to croak from something 😆
Can you get a low-cholesterol diet plan from your doctor or maybe switch medication Ruth?

I have tried ezetimine with crestor very low dose and had the pain still, I had to actually pick up my right leg and put it in the leg of my slacks for about 2 years. I see a new GP in August but am also on the list to get a quicker appointment should someone cancel. I'll see if she has that diet plan and I also heard there is a new cholesterol lowering medicine on the market now. I will see about all that plus other things, too. Thank you for your post!
