Are We Allowed To Address the Trump Assassination Investigation?

The candidate is due to return to PA on Wednesday in Harrisburg at an indoor event. He will be appearing at the Farm Show. Security has been tightened.

As for the original shooting, the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police made several comments regarding the shooting. Some of his comments have been stated to be ambiguous, but he puts the blame on either the Secret Service or the BCESU or the Butler County Emergency Services Unit. They have a tactical unit, which could be identifiable to a SWAT team.

The State Police Commissioner, Christopher Paris made a few ambiguous remarks, but he also stated, “Paris said that two officers with the Butler County Emergency Services Unit, a tactical force with sniper capabilities, left their posts in the building to look for a suspicious individual they spotted first and alerted to other law enforcement. That person was Crooks.”

CNN did a remarkable job posting an article that can better explain the situation than I can. Please take a few minutes to read it.

The FBI and the Secret Service dropped the ball, not just once, but many times. Gonna be some people wondering if maybe someone wanted him to die. Or didn’t care if he did. It’s no wonder conspiracy theories arise. People saw that kid on the roof, and were screaming about it, and the security team still let him take the stage. Somebody’s got some explaining to do.
 
The head of the Secret Service admitted that they dropped the ball. No excuses. It seems incredible to me that they knew for such a long time (about 90 minutes) that there was someone there with an AR-15 style rifle and the roof was unsecured. What on earth were they thinking?

Fortunately, it was just a minor wound. But the kid could have inflicted massive carnage. It's almost as if they were deliberately looking the other way!
 

911, assume this is true. A person or persons who can be shown to have seen or known about the roof sniper and failed to act, under PA law, do you think a charge of Criminal Negligence is warranted?

I love that!! I had a dog that would do the same. Husband would come in from work and ask where the dog was, my answer, checking the perimeter. I would open the back door and say "daddys home" and he would fly in like a bullet to his Dad.
 
I would add aware of surroundings is a delicious thought. More cameras please.
Every public get together should have tall poles with cameras + evening motion detections.
Book bags, backpacks, Sacks need to end. Everything out in the open except womans purse.
It needs legal downsizing to carry and a life's worth of collections not to fit it.
A few months ago, I saw a Homeless in a store with a backpack and a new SOG small Axe size hatchet in it.
He a shopping in a store and sitting it around when he was looking for stuff. He was looking for bedding
stuff to put in his tent. 65-year-old on the lam. The Panhandlers have 4 hour's worth of stuff stuffed into
theirs while holding a sign asking for grateful help. As they prepare to leave another takes their place, are their
jobs and organized too. U know its unreported Cash earned incomes. USA total over $$ Millions a day.

@Judycat it might be better for him to have a forward dog brigade to make sure of safety before he enters a public outdoor space. I don't think an outdoor area is proper for a celebrity and this proves my point. Any number of bad things can happen, while he walked away triumphet a very wonderful family man lost his life. Others were severly injured. That is not a place to showboat for America.

He should have been worried about if others were in harms way, was anyone else injured.

Blessed, Post 32 is a political statement. We're all trying to keep this clean.

I watched most of the Secret Service acting director (Rowe) and the FBI Director hearing today. The 2 heads of the department seemed clueless, especially Rowe, about almost everything (just like they all are) except he did confirm what hit the Presidents ear which was in fact a bullet and not anything else. The doctor confirmed it as well.

And he did confirm that there was a major lack of communication and technical devices for that communication.

He did admit that they knew about the shooter on the roof 15 minutes before it happened but said there was some obstruction he would have to get back to them about. And he said he would get more answers to the questions after he gathers it up...and agreed to get it back to them this week sometime.

Offered elevated positions near 1/2 mile or even much more are awesome for a snipper. Low concealed positions are cherished too.
The question is was it a set up? Uh huh is a great thought. I fear for all.

Something is weird about this. I saw that photo awhile back. But it doesn't seem to be Crooks.

Ted Cruz grilled the FBI director and wouldn't give up trying to get him to answer questions. Same with the Senator Kennedy. They were awesome. Then there was a female senator at the end who was very quiet and respectful and smart. I don't know who that was but she got most of the cooperation from Rowe and the FBI director...but not enough.

I have never stopped thinking about the violent protests that toppled statues, destroyed businesses. Now this assassination attempt.the country is being held hostage.

you are referencing a post that has no relation to my post. I do not propose or indicate anything about the recent attack. I did not condone the attack but suggested that the use of dogs might be beneficial before his attack. I also did not see that anyone was concerned if any innocent bystanders were hurt.

I have never participated in a vote, local, state or federal because I know in my heart I do not have the intelligence to make a decision on who should be in charge. I do not follow politics and do not pretend I know all the issues. I leave those decisions to those that chose to dedicate their lives to the idea of democracy and the protection of all the people of America.
 
This has nothing to do with this thread but I thought that it was an interesting bit of trivia.

The Secret Service officially went to work on July 5, 1865. Its first chief was William Wood. Chief Wood, widely known for his heroism during the Civil War, was very successful in his first year, closing more than 200 counterfeiting plants. This success helped prove the value of the Secret Service, and in 1866 the National Headquarters was established in the Department of the Treasury building in Washington, D.C.
During the evening of the same day President Lincoln established the Secret Service, he was assassinated at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C., by John Wilkes Booth. The country mourned as news spread that the President had been shot. It was the first time in our nation's history that a President had been assassinated. As cries from citizens rang out, Congress began to think about adding Presidential protection to the list of duties performed by the Secret Service. However, it would take another 36 years and the assassination of two more Presidents -- James A. Garfield (March 4, 1881-September 10, 1881) and William McKinley (1897-1901) -- before the Congress added protection of the President to the list of duties performed by the Secret Service.
 
This appears to be a letter from the FBI to a social media company called “Gab” asking for information about Crooks posts on their forum, and he had an account there as far back as 2020, according to what I have been reading. this letter specifically says that he was responsible for the attempted assassination, or was at least one of the shooters involved in the attempt.
Many reports are now saying that there was a second shooter on the water tower, who might have escaped, or was arrested, and we are not being told about him.
Some reports say a shooter was arrested, and some reports say he used a zip line down from the water tower and escaped. Maxwell Yearick is apparently one of the possibilities as the second shooter.

No, the man on the right is Maxwell Yearick, not the shooter Crooks,

Great question. The first portion came to my mind that there is definitely some civil liability issues that will have to be settled in civil court.

As for felony charges, what happened in Butler does meet all the criteria in the law. It’s going to take some time to figure out who has the most culpability. Do you charge someone who has just a little culpability or do you charge the person most responsible and who has the most accountability?

Whatever the decision is, someone definitely dropped the ball and needs held accountable.

I've scene those reports and theories as well. I wonder if indeed he did have help in the way of at least a spotter which could've helped avoid security. I haven't scene any ballistics reports either to help answer how many different guns were fired regardless of friend or foe that might help prove or disprove that theory.
