Are You A NeatNic?

Some people have called me a Neatnic because they see me picking up things or mopping up. If not liking a clutter or mess, stained toilets, dirty sinks, news papers strewn about or general un tidyness makes me a neatnic, SO BE IT

Nope. My house is a mess. I call it "Organized chaos."

I love neatness....My daughter calls me the broom lady...I even sweep the street in front of my house.....LOL.....

I do have more time now that I'm retired....when the kids were younger it was harder to keep everything neat....they'd come home from school and put the books on the kitchen table, snacks would come out and there was un neatness.....they did clean their rooms on Saturday....It was a good life....:love_heart:

I like to have a neat and uncluttered home but I don't have as much energy as I used to
when younger. That means that at times the house is not as neat as it used to be. :)

Nothing wrong with that Lon IMO. I think better when I find a place for everything!

I'm a neatnic too, but far from perfect;) I don't always dust as often as I should, but I am big on getting things back in their place:rolleyes:

I like that saying, SeaBreeze I try to be as neat as possible but with two dogs that moult a lot, sometimes its hard to keep up with.

I know what you mean Nan, I have a dog and a cat. If it's rainy/snowy outside, or if I've watered the lawn, lots of mud gets tracked in on my floors and carpets. Then we take the dog to the park every day, and he may get muddy from there too, so it's a never ending battle, LOL! But I love my babies and were all happy, so that's all that matters. :love_heart:

I like the food work surfaces to be clean, and also the loos, but apart from that I am not bothered.

I am an absolute Neatnic, but not to the point where I am OCD. Like the old saying goes, "A place for everything and everything in its place." My daughter is the exact opposite and she likes it that way. It drives me crazy. Oh, well, what are you going to do?

I'm not a "neatnic", but, since I'm the retired one between us, I do the laundry, vacuuming, etc. while my wife is at work. I do let my wife clean the two bathrooms b/c I have a hard time smelling the cleaning stuff she uses. Bathroom doors get shut and fan goes on! And, once she starts cleaning, she doesn't stop! She cleans the areas that I don't get to during the week. But, generally, our apartment does have that "lived in" look. Not real messy, but not really clean/organized either. I'm much more of an organized person that my wife is though.

Now, when my wife knows someone is stopping by our apartment for a visit.... boy, does this lady go at it! The "White Tornado" in action (LOL).

Even though our boat is a 1992, just before boating season starts, she is clean/scrubbing the interior trying to make it look like a 2014 boat.

My wife's brother is definitely a "neatnic"! The inside of his car is so clean, a person could eat off of the floors! His studio apt. is the same way........super clean!

Neatnic is my middle name but its an uphill battle everyday living with a 48,16 and an 8 year old not to mention 4 cats.

But the inside of my car is immaculate so that makes me a neat freak.
